when jeongin woke up that day of the sleepover, nothing happened. he had quickly changed and eaten, immediately leaving as he needed some sort of cuddles and he did not want to smother chan.

the older would have been perfectly fine with that, though. chan was more or less dissapointed when jeongin left so early, but it was a good thing as they had school that day. both boys had gotten a notification on their phones stating that today is 'late arrival.'

chan still hasn't finished his homework, he really thinks he needs to stop putting everything off until the last minute. he has been thinking that for three years, though, and his procrastinating habits haven't changed.

when jeongin arrived home, his mother was just about to leave.

"ah! hey, sweetheart. i don't know if you've eaten yet, but there is food in the fridge! your dad left about thirty minutes ago, and as you can see, i must get going now. bye!" the woman slipped on her tattered black heels and was out the door, just like that.

jeongin frowned and half-heartedly waved, regretting his decision to leave chan's house already. he ran upstairs and immediately changed into a soft pastel yellow skirt that had a reminded him of a bee, melting into the soft fabric as soon as it was on.

jeongin's phone started ringing, startling him out of the soft cloud of serenity that he had settled into. he shuffled himself towards his bed, where he had set his bag and phone down at, and sluggoshly picked up his phone. jeongin read the caller id, answering and holding the phone a solid inch away from his ear.

"oh my god did y'all fuck?!" jisung screeched into the phone. jeongin was used to his extra friend yelling at him over the mobile device, there wasn't even a reason to use speaker.

"wh-"

"your mom messaged me that you had a sleepover with chan? with chan?? i can't even. why did you leave so early? she told me when you got home. we were gonna theorize and-" jisung paused as he could tell jeongin was not impressed.

"why do you have my mom's phone number?" he questioned, now actually thinking about the strange situation he was in.

"because we care about you and your love life, jeongin." the younger hung up, then was rushed with an attack of texts.

jeongin sighed and set his phone down, changing out of his skirt and into some skinny acid-wash jeans. he wore a white t-shirt that had a beige cat on the front along with his jeans and his normal sneakers.

it was around nine thirty when he left his house, school starting at ten. usually his mom would give him a ride even though he lived close to the school, but today he would walk as his parents were both at work.

jeongin wore his fuzzy panda coat to stay warm in the cold february weather, sighing constantly with the sunshine that rose the temperature to a tolerable level.

he walked into school with five minutes to spare, quickly unpacking and hurrying to his desk at his first class. he sat in the center of the room, which made him uncomfortable. jeongin preferred sitting in a corner at the back, just so he was sure if anyone was trash-talking him.

no one ever was, though. that was just his paranoia speaking.

his first two classes flew by and it was already lunchtime. jeongin walked to the cafeteria with jisung and sat at their usual table. jisung saw jeongin's face visually light up when chan walked into the cafeteria, searching for the pair.

the older softly smiled, too, waving at jisung and jeongin when he spotted the two. chan sat down next to jeongin and leaned against him, already complaining about his classes.

jisung was obviously third-wheeling, but he didn't mind it. that was until he saw chan and jeongin kiss. it wasn't even a kiss kiss, really. it was more of a 'hey you're my friend and i platonically like you' kiss.

except, jisung has never seen jeongin kiss anyone except his mother.

"um, are y'all dating or something?" the squirrelish boy questioned, quickly realizing that the question was slightly intrusive when both boys turned red and shook their heads.

"no, sungie! kissies are just nice." jeongin giggled and chan would've covered his face with his hands in shame if they weren't already wrapped around the youngest's waist.

jisung smiled at the two, watching as jeongin repositioned on chan's lap. he sat and tried to pretend that he hadn't seen the glares that were directed towards to two, also.
