jisung, jeongin, and chan were all at lunch as usual. they were content with eachother's company.
that was, until, one of the more popular guys came up to their lunch table. jeongin looked up in confusion, bravely asking what he needed.
jeongin didn't notice the soda in the other's hand or the table of snickering boys in the corner, though. jisung was concerned before anything happened, but it was too late to warn jeongin.
the youngest didn't know what was happening, all he knew is that soda was in his eyes and he was being called a fag again. the poor boy didn't need to be told that he was 'disgusting' and 'unnatural' over and over again.
jeongin just smiled, fighting back tears and acting as if he didn't care.
"what a waste of a good 16 ounces" jeongin comments.
a lot of people in the cafeteria had noticed the unfortunate situation by now. no one did anything, though, because it was up to jeongin.
chan glared at the boy who poured soda on jeongin and quickly rushed to bring napkins to the younger's eyes. he whispered a small 'jeongin, lets go,' into the younger's ear before said boy reluctantly let himself get lead out of the cafeteria.
chan stopped by the office and said that there had been an accident. he was lucky that the secretary had believed him, though, or else they would have questioned him a ton.
the two wordlessly hurried to jeongin's house, the older allowing jeongin to bathe while chan picked out clothes for him.
chan wasn't sure what to grab, though. he saw jeongin look at the worn cardboard box when he was walking to his personal bathroom to take a shower, but who knows, chan could be hallucinating.
chan had decided to just set out some sweatpants and a sweatshirt that he saw at the bottom of jeongin's closet.
he sat on the couch in the young boy's living room for a while, not really paying attention to anything in particular.
that was, until, he heard something from upstairs.
"hey.. hyungie... do you promise you won't hate me no matter what?" jeongin yelled down the stairs.
chan was confused, that was for sure.
"what? yes, why?"
"okay. thanks!" chan then heard jeongin's door slam. five minutes later when he was playing on his phone, not really paying attention, he heard soft footsteps coming down jeongin's carpeted stairs.
the young boy looked spooked, and for a split second, chan was confused as to why.
oh.
jeongin was wearing a black skirt that reached mid-thigh and some cat knee-high socks.
chan bit down on his tongue, trying to keep himself composed.
"sorry, this is really weird, i know you probably think i'm gross. girly clothes just make me feel cute, gets my mind off of things." chan doesn't react. jeongin frowns.
"say something, hyungie..." chan doesn't reply. he shifts his eyes back towards his bright phone screen, screaming at himself inside his head.
"i know you heard me." when chan doesn't reply, tears start rolling down jeongin's soft cheeks, the older instantly regretting everything.
"fuck, 'innie. what do you want me to say?" the boy sniffles and tries to talk through his uneven breaths.
"i- just, something. is this o-okay? please h-hyungie, don't leave me. i'm sor-ry." chan sits up and looks at jeongin.
"it's more than fine. jeongin, it just- god damnit. please go change." jeongin tilted his head and looked at chan.
"what do you mean?" the braced-boy began to frown again, blinking back tears.
"jeongin! stop that, i really like it but it makes me want to cuddle you to death and i can't control myself so please just change into something else before i die!" jeongin calmed down and looked at chan with a questioning expression.
"really?" he mumbled out softly, pulling down his skirt a little and sitting next to chan on the couch.
"i'm comfy." jeongin stated, looking chan straight in the eye. there was no mischevious intent behind jeongin's words, he was just happy in his skirt.
"can you sit in my lap?"
jeongin just looked confusedly at the older boy, who was now blushing and looking away.
"nevermind. sorry."
"okay."
