Where to begin. That is the question worth asking. He had begun his day like any other day, but he knew that tonight would be his first night at his dream job. He came home, showered and took a rest in bed for the good hours of the night, his mind wandering and unable to stop. Before he could fathom the thought of sleep, he was suddenly shaken up by his alarm. Sighing, he rolled over, turned the damn thing off and rose to his feet. In everything he did, from the brushing of his teeth to even making himself the breakfast that always seemed foreign in the mornings, he was in too good of a mood. Nothing could ruin his day.
After getting himself ready and packed, he made his way to school. He loved school, his school was small, right out of the town he lived in and most importantly, private. It was a quiet place to be, no worries about robberies or even theft. Everyone knew everyone and honestly, his whole life had been here after he moved out. His parents were doing what they thought was best and didn't want himself around. Like the good boy he was, he took his belongings and left one night. He didn't look back, nor does he plan to go back, but there isn't a day that they don't cross his mind, especially his very own mother.
In going to school, he found it as a way to further his soon to be life. Everything he wanted to do needed a degree so, he worked, he paid the bills and studied as best as he possibly could. In doing this, he had clearly shown some sort of ability to that doctor at the ward. Ward Sina. He wouldn't brag about it, not even to his friends. He didn't have many friends, he stayed quite closed in knowing there was no time to be messing around. He worked very long and hard for this, he wasn't about to let everything slip away.
Parking his car, he made his way into the building, heading to his lockers before he went about his classes for the day. There wasn't a moment to which a woman wasn't on himself. He knew he was a "prize" as they would call himself, but he also knew he had much ambition with little to no time for distractions. In doing his best to ignore them, he had eventually needed to invest in earbuds, after all, they were "bitch canceling". Call him an asshole for saying that, but everyone, no, every chick at the school was just hungry for it. He wasn't looking and quite frankly didn't even know his preference. He could only assume he liked women, men didn't appeal to himself. He has to see his own dick, never mind fondle someone else's. The mere thought made himself cringe a little a little in on the way to class.
Walking to his class and taking a seat, he was distracted the whole day by the night. He was ready to go back. He needed to go back. It wouldn't have mattered if he wanted to go back or not, he needed to. The happiness seemed to overwhelm himself everytime he thought about holding that card in his own hands. It has his name, picture, everything. They must have wanted himself that bad eh? But, of course, the day went by tauntingly slow, like it always had when excitement arose.
By the time school had ended, he swore three women must have drooled all over his black shirt and he must have aged to about a thousand and one years old. Hurrying back home, he could eventually pull into his driveway and come into the rather small house. Expecting the time to read a little later than usual, having taken the long backroads to those back roads to his house, he saw he had... eight hours left to kill. Oh God. Sighing with a groan, he made his way to the couch and decided to try and rest. Evidently, he could find some sleep, but he was too eager and woke up a good hour early. Getting up, he packed, dressed and made his way out. Maybe he could start early? Yeah...
Getting into his car, making his way to the ward and the traffic he got stuck in, he seemed to have made it just in the nick of time. Remembering the guard, Mike? No, Miche. In remembering the rules he had told himself, he obeyed and went down to the lower garage. Without further ado, he was ready and making his way into the building.
Entering, he could only remember the man he saw with the nurse. He would only pray for no conflicts. Maybe he had already forgotten? Yeah... He didn't want to dwell too much into it, knowing that he would surely become worked up again, anxious and of course on high alert. One thing he had learned, one piece of advice he had taken, was that work is a new home. Work is a new life to which you must reanimate yourself and do what you have to do to make money. He had worked some retail when he was a teen. He remembered all the arguments he would get involved with as a child with his parents, only to then have to go to work. Sometimes with a blue cheek, other times with an aching back. Either way, he had always remembered those days. He remembered the times to which people had treated him like such shit, yet the others that would compliment him and say the nicest things. He wasn't expecting much, knowing he was mentally ill, but if he went in negatively, the results would certainly show.
