Sasha walked into the S.H.I.E.L.D base located somewhere in Chicago. She walked straight into the conference room and Agent May gave her a pointed look.

"Welcome nice of you to finally join us." Coulson said. "Well it's not my fault that I was stationed in Germany and then have to travel all the way back." Sasha sassed.

"Well we have another for you," May stated moving from her position. "You'll be in Brooklyn New York. Your mission is surveillance." Sasha internally groaned. "You'll be watching Captain Rogers and Agent Fury. We believe they're in danger." Sasha opened her mouth to protest but Coulson put his hand up knowing her all too well put his hand up. "These are direct orders from the Director." He said with a smirk knowing he'd won this battle.

"You leave tomorrow." He said. "Dismissed." May said. Sasha walked out of the room going home to rest for the day ahead.

When Sasha got home she was met by her parents at the dinner table with candles illuminating the room. They turned to her hearing the door open and smiled. They got up and walked towards her pulling her into a hug.

When they let go they asked her how her day went. Of course she told them she was to be sent on another mission the next day and they frowned. It wasn't their idea for her to become a Renegade. She wanted to and because of her special abilities everyone else seemed to think it would be for the best.

But it was taking a toll on her and their family. With them being away a lot it was almost impossible for them to maintain a healthy relationship.

  Almost.

When they were sent on missions together or when they took "Sick days" they would cherish their time together and smile a lot.

As for the effect it had on Sasha. Well let's just say it took away from her experience as a child. Instead of worrying about age appropriate things she was worried about if she would last another day. Although it did teach her to appreciate the little things.

The family of three spent as much time as they could together.
Telling stories and laughing. But soon it got late and the small family was reminded of the day ahead. They said their good night's and parted ways trying to get some rest.

A "driver" would be picking Sasha up at around two am to take her to the Renegade base in Chicago where she would go over the mission once more before departure.

Very early the next day Sasha was getting ready to leave. She dressed in a simple violet tee-shirt- that matched the shade of her eyes- black jeans and her combat boots. She grabbed her violet and black duffle bag that held her weapons and other items before going outside seeing as the car had arrived.

"Good morning Sasha." Phil said as Sasha got into one of his most prized possessions Lola. "Hey Phil, how's your morning been going?" Sasha asked. "Seeing as it just started a couple hours ago. I'd say it's been going really slow." He said with a smile the wrinkles around his mouth showing." Sasha chuckled as Phil stated Lola up before taking to the sky.

Sasha loved it up here. The cool wind on her face along with the weightless feel made a near perfect combo. But eventually the rush ended when Phil parked Lola in a parking garage at the base.

Getting out of Lola the two almost soundlessly made their way through the halls and into the conference room. They were greeted by a young Asgardian woman with brown hair and brown eyes. She turned flashing them a smile before walking up to Sasha and swallowing her in a hug.

"I've missed you so much EB. How was Kuwait?" Sahsa asked with a smile on her face. "Well aside from work it was nice." She replied. "Agent Aevardottir will be on this mission with you." He opened a brief case and searched through a stack of papers before finding the right ones. "Here are your files. Be ready in three hours." Coulson said.

"Plenty of time for us to catch up." Ebony said smiling at her friend. "Oh and Sasha don't forget these." He said tossing her a box of colored contacts. "Wouldn't want you scaring all of Brooklyn." He said. Sasha nodded before turning back to her mentor.

Ebony was Sasha's mentor but they also had a sisterly relationship. And since Ebony had been gone for six months Sasha was excited to see her sister alive and well. The two spent their three hours catching up. Ebony was from Asgard but when Ebony was sixteen she stumbled on the tesseract she grabbed hold and it spit her out here on Earth.

When Ebony met Sasha she took her in as her mentee to train her to be in control of her gifts. They'd been best friends ever since.

Finally their three hours were over. They had both memorized their new identities as well as each other's. They made a great team. They made simple hand gestures and other body languages code, communicating in ASL, and even certain eye movements all apart of their routine when they were on a mission together.

The pair walked onto the launch pad files in hand. When their piolet saw them he nodded before helping them into the jet. And just like that they were off.

"New York here we come!" Ebony shouted causing a loud laugh to erupt from Sasha.
