Phil stayed over that night but we had to share a bed. Obviously my mum didn't know we were an item, so there was no awkward 'talk' which was always a good thing.
We were getting into our pyjamas (Phil's mum had dropped off some clothes for him) and I was changing in my bedroom and Phil in the bathroom. I pulled on an over-sized jumper and some cartoon-y bottoms before yelling, "You can come in when you're ready!"
A red-faced Phil then pushed open the door, shirtless. "Is it okay if I don't wear a shirt?" He asked. My eyes were fixed on his chest and I didn't realise I had been staring until Phil cleared his throat.
"Oh, yeah. It's fine." I smiled softly, getting under the cover. Phil soon followed, climbing in beside me. I moved slightly closer and, before I knew it, his arms were wrapped around me and he was pulling me closer. I felt my cheeks heat up but I shut my eyes and allowed myself to relax.

I woke up and tried to sit up but something- or someone- was holding me down. I panicked for a moment until I remembered that Phil had stayed over. I smiled, shutting my eyes and listening to the gentle beat of his heart. I stayed like that for a few minutes until my mum called my name at the top of her lungs. It must have woken Phil up because I heard him yawn and his arms shifted from where they had been around me. We both sat up and Phil gently kissed my forehead.
"Morning." He mumbled. His voice was groggy as he had only just woken up and it was simultaneously adorable and really attractive.
"Good morning. We should probably get up so we aren't late for school."

Walking into school was nerve-wracking to say the least. My grip on Phil's hand was so tight that I was surprised I wasn't hurting him or cutting off his circulation. We walked straight passed Mark and Kayla who were standing at the girl's locker. Both of them glared at me as if I was the psycho-killer responsible for murdering all of their families.
"Phil," I whispered, feeling uncomfortable under their gazes. Just a few days previous, I'd have been standing with them, laughing at a ridiculous joke that shouldn't have been funny. "I can't do this."
"Yes, you can. Come on, stop looking at them. We need to get to tutor." Phil replied. I was on the verge of crying, detesting the guilt that was swirling around in the pit of my stomach.

"You need to make a presentation regarding two poems of your choice. You should write about any language techniques and say why they're used. Think, what effect do they have on the reader? You'll work in pairs I have chosen. They are as follows," My eyes scanned the room. There were the popular kids, the nerds and the so called 'loners' who I wouldn't exactly have minded working with. Then shit Felix and Kayla. I crossed my fingers, hoping I'd be partnered with one of the 90% of the class I could bear. Luck, however, wasn't on my side. "Kayla and Dan..." My eyes widened and I turned to look at her. A few others were also staring, aware of what had happened between us.
She made no effort to come to me so I grabbed my backpack and book, dropping down into the empty seat beside her. "I'm only talking to you because of this stupid project, okay? Once it's finished, I don't want to see you again." She practically snapped, opening her book to a fresh page.
"Should you come to mine or-" I started but she cut me off.
"Yeah. You're walking me there straight after school."
"Actually-"
"What? Are you meeting Phil? Putting him over everything, even your grades... You know, I'm not surprised anymore. I'll do this presentation on my own."
"Kayla, I can't let you do that."
"So you can cheat on me but you're too good a person to let me do the whole project? Do you consider yourself a hero or something? Oh, I'm Dan Howell and I think I'm better than everyone else." She struck something inside me so I stood up and stormed out, tears filling my eyes. It was pretty much the end of the lesson anyway so part of me hoped the teacher wouldn't care. The other part couldn't have cared less.
I didn't properly read this through so I'm sorry if there are any mistakes :(
