Twenty-six

Nash's POV

I literally couldn't wait for school today. That's a first. I can't wait to see Hazel. I'm bringing her a rose and I'll give it to her in the morning.

At school
**

"Hey" I say as I'm walking up to her with the rose behind my back.

"Hiya" Hazel said.

I pull the rose from behind my back and give it to her.

"Here, this is for you." I said

Her face lit up like a Christmas tree.

"Wow thanks" she replied.

"So are you doing anything tonight? I thought we could hang out" (it was Friday)

"Yeah that sounds great!"

"Maybe I can take you on the lake"

"Sure" she said.

Later that night
**

Hazels POV

I walk up Nash's driveway. He's outside with Hayes but his back is facing towards me. I walked up behind him and slid my arm to his tummy and gave it a little tickle to tell him I was here and then I pulled him in for a hug. I'm about 5'5 and since he's about 6'0, being wrapped in his arms just seemed so magical.

"Hey you" he said

"Hola señor" I said

"No compriendo"

"Whatever Nash"

"Let's go down by the lake"

"Ok"

He grabbed my arm and intertwined my fingers with his and we started walking to the lake.

I was wearing black skinny jeans, OBEY sweatshirt, maroon hightop converse, and a little but of makeup.

We made it to the dock where we sat down.

"Hazel..." Nash said.

"Yeah"

"I think you're beautiful"

I looked down and almost started to cry. Literally nobody has ever said that to me in my entire life, well except my parents of course.

"What wrong?" he asked

"It's just that nobody has really ever said that to me before. Thank you" I said.

He pulled me into another hug. Gosh I could get used to this.

"Nash I really like you" I said. Dear lord. Did that just happen.

"Hazel I like you a lot too."

Nash's POV

"Hazel I like you a lot too." I exclaimed.

I honestly do like her. I kinda want to ask her to be my girlfriend. Is that wrong? I know it is but I'm still asking her.

"Hazel may I ask you something?"

"Anything" she replied.

"Now I don't know how you will respond to this but I'm gonna give it a go anyway."

"What Nash" she said with a smirk on my face.

"Ok umm... will you ... uhhh... be my.... girlfriend? Whatever you want it's your decision I just thought id ask yo-" I was cut off by her lips touching mine.

"If I say yes will you shut up" she said playfully

"So that is a yes?"

"Damn right yes"

"So is Hazel Smith my girlfriend?" I smirk at her.

"Only if Nash Grier is my boyfriend"

Wow Hazel Smith is my girlfriend.

I stood up and so did she.

I grabbed her waist and hugged her.

"I will never let go of you" I whisper.

"Please never give up on me" she responded.

The world stopped. My mind couldn't think. It was just us to in that very moment. No one else.
