Peter was all over Nemo the next morning. Not in a sexual way, more of a fluffy way.
Peter was stressed, he wasn't sure what to do. He knew that Nemo wasn't feeling that great but he didn't know it was that bad.
Peter snuggled further into Nemo's back and mumbled something. "What babe?" Nemo asked, struggling to turn without the use of his legs.
"We have school tomorrow."
Nemo made a face of distaste, he wasn't happy about going back to school. He would no longer have his intimidating stature and freshman wouldn't dart out of the way like scuttling beetles.
But he has to be strong, strong for Peter.

Okay Nemo took it all back the moment the car rolled into view of the school.
The school looked like it was about to swallow him whole as Peter wheeled him up to the front entrance.
The looks and whispers directed at Nemo didn't go unnoticed and it made him feel like he never had before. He felt small and pathetic.
Peter tried his best to scare people off with glares, but he was extremely adorable anyway so the death glare didn't do much. Nemo reached a hand up and closed it over Peter's clenched one, he gave it a small pat of reassurance.
They entered the building together, each fully trusting in the other.

Both Toddy and Pippa were very happy to see Nemo, hugs and kisses all round. Nothing was said about the whole 'paralysed from the waist down' situation, but a subtle nod from Pippa towards Peter happened.
"Oh and this is Peter, he's my ah-he's my boyfriend." Nemo struggled to get the foreign word out of his mouth.
"Why are you introducing us to him? You talk about h-" Toddy was cut short by Pippa jabbing her elbow into his side with a sickly sweet smile. However Toddy and Peter still shared a knowing look, Nemo already had suspicions about their developing friendship.
Ned seemed less surprised when Peter turned up and said hi to him, he only congratulated Peter on not dying and gave him a sheepish hug. Nemo thought of it as a weird greeting but said nothing to Peter about it.

Thankfully the day had gone without a hitch, the two had tried their very best to sink into the shadows and not draw attention to themselves.
However all of their hard work went to shit when they were about to leave the school campus.
An expensive looking car pulled up to the curve in-front of them. This would've been fine if the roof hadn't been open and a remix of that yodelling Walmart kid hadn't been playing full volume, neither would it have caused such a scene if the driver hadn't shouted: "Get in losers we're going shopping!"
Peter immediately recognised the thick Wakandan accent. His face morphed into surprise, he'd seen the technology that Wakanda possessed and this girl was apparently the centre of it all.
"Yeah it is I! Princess Shuri! Don't wet yourself in fear, this car is brand new."
So much for a quiet day then.

Yes finally we can get the Shuri/Peter friendship we deserve. Bit of a shite chapter but oh well 🤷🏼♀️
