"Why the hell would we do that?"
"Wakanda works in very mysterious ways young man, we're the causer for over half of the world's key events" Shuri said to defend herself.
Nemo seemed satisfied by the reply and backed down, however Peter pressed further.
"Yeah like what? How would you be able to do that undetected?" Peter questioned. Nemo rested his hand on Peter's thigh as if to say 'calm down'.
Shuri sighed in what was most likely annoyance and pressed on with the mission. "Peter, your task is to get into the prison where he's being held and break him out. Then you'll bring him here, where phase two of the mission can be completed."
Shuri nodded to show she'd finished and looked expectantly towards Peter.
Peter had moved so he was almost sitting in Nemo's lap and shuffled awkwardly, Nemo started to rub his back reassuringly.
"Why would we help him?" Peter wasn't comfortable with not knowing anything.
"Well my associates and I have been looking into his powers and what he's really capable of, we think he could be the key for healing almost anyone. Which includes your boyfriend there. If this mission is a success, Nemo could walk again."
"I'll do it!" Peter shouted.
Nemo sat still, stunned by both the recent revelation and Peter's willingness to put his life on the line for the sake of him walking again.
"Hey Pete, lets talk about this first before you agree to anything. Please?" Peter turned, he looked unsure but hesitantly nodded.
Nemo nodded in Shuri's direction and and said girl left with Daisy hot on her tail. As soon as the door closed behind the two girls, Nemo grabbed Peter's face in his hands.
"You stupid boy! Why the hell are you gonna risk your future for the sake of me? You might die! God knows what they'll do to you if they capture you, huh? Maybe keep you in cage and experiment on you! Jesus, now you go out there and you tell that girl you don't want to do it." Nemo let go of Peter's face without realising the smaller boy's tears.
Nemo sighed and held his head in his hands. He opened his mouth to say more but was interrupted by a sniffle. He looked up to see Peter barely holding himself together.
"Oh Pete I'm so sorry. I-"
"No!" Nemo stopped talking immediately.
"You're the one who's stupid! I care about you so much, Nemo you're one of the few people in this world I can consider family."
Peter paused, as if hesitating his next sentence.
"I love you Nemo and I'll do anything to make you happy again. If putting my life on the line is part of it, then so be it."
Nemo wheeled closer to his boyfriend, he reached for Peter's hands and held them tight.
"If you think you can do this, if you think this is the right thing to do. Then do it, I'll support you."
Nemo used his grip on Peter's hands to pull him into a hug, his held the back of Peter's head and pulled him impossibly closer.
"I'm sorry."
Wowza peoples I've finished my GCSE's so I'm able to update again! I'm super excited to get this story moving on so I'll be updating more regularly since I don't have school anymore.
