"There isn't another way?" Ezra asks.

Kanan and I look at him, but Ezra keeps his eyes on me. "No, unfortunately not. But it's not like we'll never see her."

He nods and smiles slightly. I can tell he doesn't like the idea of being separated, but I smile comfortingly at him. "This will be alright, we can still do missions and I'll visit and stay with you guys sometimes. And... I mean, you are a part of me now. There's no way to change that. This is for the best." Maybe I'm trying to convince myself more than him but maybe I need it more than he does.

He nods again, "It'll just be weird," he says.

"Yeah..." I agree, rubbing my arm, "I've gotten used to living here."

He smiles slightly and his head drops. I walk up to him and nudge his arm. "Hey, we're good right? No more secrets?"

He looks up and nods. "No more secrets," he repeats.

"Good."

A few rotations later and it's getting closer to when I'm supposed to meet this new master of mine. I'm not entirely sure how I feel about it. I mean, it's great I'll finally get some training time and not be taking someone else's master. But it comes at a cost.

We all sit around the main room, watching Kanan and Ezra play holochess. They tell me lazy days like these aren't normal.

"Yeah? What is normal then?" I ask.

"Normally were running from the Empire, with the usual of getting shot at," says Sabine with a mischievous smirk.

"I know how that is," I let out a low chuckle. They all look at me, "What did I say?" I ask.

"You've never really told us much about yourself," Ezra says.

Yeah well, there's not much to tell," I reply crossing my arms over my chest.

"Of course there is," says Sabine. "Plus you can't just say you know what it's like to get shot at and not expect us to be curious." She raises an eyebrow at me and crosses her arms.

They all stare at me expectantly, "Well?"

I shift my body uncomfortably. "I don't like talking about myself," I grumble.

"Oh, well get over it," Sabine teases.

A frown creases my face, "Fine... Well for starters, my parents died when I was young... old enough to remember them though. Years after that my brother left me, or was kidnapped, arrested, or killed. All I know is one day I woke up and he wasn't there. I've lived on Aris my whole life. I've never been been off planet till now. Anything else?"

Kanan opens his mouth to say something when the ship jerks and the ones standing fall to the side.

The next thing I know, me and Ezra's faces are inches from each other, I look at him and he looks at me. He smiles slightly and chuckles nervously. Then we're separated by another jerk of the ship.

"What was that?!" I exclaim, rubbing my head from being thrown to the opposite side of the room.

"I don't know but we're gonna find out," Sabine says running to the hall and climbing a ladder. Zeb follows her but goes down.

Hera heads to the cockpit with Kanan. Leaving me and Ezra together.

All of a sudden the Ghost lurches to the right, the lights flicker. I steady myself on a wall when Chopper rolls in and buzzes something.

"What is he saying?" I ask.

"Uh... We're under attack?" Ezra guesses.

He buzzes something more, now louder and high pitched.
