HEATHER’S POV
Ashley and I were only maybe half way through our movie, when Andy and Jake walked into my room. Excitedly yet cautiously, I jumped into his arms. I tended to bruise easily, so I didn’t want to hurt myself in front of Andy. I probably already had a huge bruise on my head, from when I hit the headboard earlier. “Where have you been!?” I nagged, trying my best to sound angry. Seeing as how Andy was about a foot taller than me, it was hard for me to intimidate him.
He pat my head and sat down in a chair. I sat down in his lap, so I could feel taller, but he just laughed at me, which made me lose all thought of being mad at him. I loved his laugh. It was so low, and unlike mine it was actually nice to hear. Leaning back in the chair, he sighed. “I was out drinking with C.C. and Jake.”
“Of course.” I said, rolling my eyes at him. “Where are Jinxx and C.C. anyway?” I asked, looking around the room. “C.C. didn’t get arrested did he?”
“If only.” Jake laughed.
Andy wrapped his arms around my stomach and rested his head on my head. Andy why do you have to be so tall!? I poked his forehead, forcing his head off mine, so I could look up at him. “No they’re back at our hotel. Jinxx had to call Sammi and C.C.’s with a girl he met.” Ashley gave us a look, which we all knew meant he had an inappropriate thought. I took off one of my black converse with purple laces, and threw it at him. I missed his head, but managed to hit his arm. As he rubbed his arm, he stuck his tongue out at me, so I flipped him off.
“What we were all thinking it. Don’t deny it!” He smirked at me and stuck up his middle finger. “Oh and love you too.” I threw my other shoe at him, but completely missed. Andy and Ashley laughed at me, while Jake walked behind the bed to get it. On his way back he smacked Ashley on the back of the head. I couldn’t help but laugh at him. “Hey don’t laugh at me with that weird laugh.” He insulted.
I stuck out my tongue and blew him a kiss. “You know you love it.” I got up, so I could sit next to Ashley on the bed. He wrapped his arm around me and kissed me on the lips. I grinned and kissed him back. I ran my hand through his hair as he leaned deeper into the kiss. By the end of the kiss, he was almost on top of me. I had to force myself to stop kissing him and I could tell he was disappointed to stop. “Not now.” I giggled.
“Uhhhhhh… What the hell just happened?” Andy asked with a shocked look on his face. Ashley took my hand and kissed it. His lips felt soft on my hand and at the moment I wanted nothing more than to feel them on my own lips, but I knew that we’d freaked Andy out enough already. “Are you guys like a couple?” He pointed to at us and I blushed.
Ashley let go of my hand, so he could put his arms around me. “I guess so, yeah.” He chuckled.
“You realize that if you hurt her we’re going to kick your ass right?” Jake joked, but I knew he was serious. They really cared for me. Andy smirked and punched his hand, pretending to be tough.
Ashley smiled lightly and looked down at me. “I would never hurt her.” Again. From the look on his face, I could tell he was thinking it too, but as far as we could tell, the guys couldn’t see it.
Jake stood up straight and looked at us, with a smile on his face. “Well then, Mr. Purdy and Miss. Collins, I now pronounce you boyfriend and girlfriend. And you may NOT kiss the girlfriend, because I don’t want to see that ever again.” I giggled and pecked Ashley on the cheek as a light blush grew on his cheeks.
I heard a knock on the door, so I turned to find a nurse standing in the doorway. “Um excuse me.” She said, with an unwelcoming glare. “The men have to leave now. Visiting hours are over.” She crossed her arms across her chest and continued to glare at me and the men I loved. I returned the glare, but Andy, Jake, and Ashley remained calm.
I rested my head on Ashley and held his hand, not wanting him to leave. “Can’t they just stay a little longer? Like how about just and hour?” I tried to sound as sweet as I could, but it was pretty hard, when she wouldn’t stop looking at us like we were freaks.
She just shook her head and with an annoyed tone responded, “No ma’am they have to leave.”
Jake, Ashley and Andy stood up and each hugged me. Ashley kissed my forehead and I could feel a tear roll down my cheek. After Andy let go of me, I grabbed his hand and wouldn’t let go. “It’s because we’re different isn’t it?” I snarled at the nurse.
“What?” She asked. For some reason she sounded insulted.
I squeezed Andy’s hand tighter. “You heard me bitch! The only reason you’re making them leave is because they look different than everyone else. Isn’t it!?” I snapped. Before she could reply I continued, “ That has to be the reason. Why else would they be the only ones being forced to leave? I’ve seen people have groups of people stay over for days on end, and did I complain? No. Did you force them out? No. You let them stay, because they looked like everyone else. But finally the weird girl has people come to see her and god forbid they get to stay! They’re just TOO different for you idiots to accept!” The nurse stared at me in horror along with Andy and Jake. Ashley was giving me a sort of ‘atta girl’ look, which made me even happier that I finally said something.
“What did you just say to me?” The nurse asked in disgust.
I released Andy’s hand and he walked over to her. He said something to her, but I wasn’t listening. I was too busy watching her face, as he talked to her. She looked like a monster was talking to her, but Andy wasn’t the monster. She was. She and Andy walked out of the room and continued talking in the hall. How the hell is he so calm!? Jake and Ashley sat down next to me, so I rested my head on Jake’s shoulder. He rubbed my back and Ashley took my hand. “Don’t worry.” Jake soothed. “Andy wont let you stay alone. He’ll find a way to fix this.” I just nodded and crossed my fingers that they wouldn’t have to leave me. They made me feel happy and welcome. Feelings that I’d never felt in the hospital.
I sniffled back a tear, but they’d heard me. Ashley squeezed my hand and looked me in the eyes. “It’ll be alright, Heather. We wont leave you.” I nodded again and closed my eyes. Before long I gave out and was once again asleep in the arms of my saviors. Please don’t let them leave me.
