I clenched my fists. I need to find out who the girl in my dream is...! I walked by myself to school. Whoever that girl is must be the killer! Well, I'm not trying to be a detective or anything, I just want to stop the killer from killing innocent girls. I sighed deeply as I arrived in the classroom. "Akari! Where have you been?!," Ruko asked worriedly. "What do you mean? You know I'm just walking by muself to school these days!," I replied. "Haven't you heard?!" "What is it?" Ruko sighed deeply. "The school is haunted!" "What...?!," I asked in confusion.
"The school is haunted, which is why students die!," Ruko replied. "The school isn't haunted... And there are no such things as spirits in this school...," I muttered. "You just don't get it...! From now on, I'll walk with you and follow you wherever you go for your own safety! Wether you like it or not!," Ruko said.
I could feel the awkward glances from other students. "Uhh... Are you supposed to be my stalker or something?," I asked sarcastically. "Hey, I'm serious! Starting from now on I'll be your permanent guardian!" "Well, thank you...," I muttered as I shrugged.
When class ended, Ruko immediately approached me. "What?," I asked as I prepared my book bag. "I'm walking with you..." I sighed. "I can walk by myself..." Before he could even say a word, I immediately went out of the school. I started walking alone.
I just realized... And I just regretted... The choice of walking by myself...
Everything turned black. I couldn't breathe much and see a thing. What is happening...? My eyes slowly closed.
"Wake up!" I could hear a low voice... Of a girl. "W,what...?," I mumbled, my eyes blinking. I'm too weak to open my eyes. I felt weakness but not pain. "I said, wake up!," the girl with deep voice yelled. Finally, my eyes open. My eyes opened, my eyes opened widely... With fear. "W,who are you?!," I yelled. "Where's Sakura?" "What...? Sakura...?!" "Ahh... So you don't know...!" After that, everything went black again.
My eyes opened, I am back to where I last saw myself. Without any other thoughts, I ran back home. "Mom... I think I was kidnapped..."
...
The next day, I walked to school with my head looking down. Yesterday was the second time a person followed me... as I arrive in the classroom, Ruko approached me. "Akari! Are you okay?! I should've walked with you last night!," Ruko asked with worry. Wait... How did he know...? "Last night?" "Yeah! Weren't you kidnapped?" "But... How do you know?" He pondered for a moment. "Nao said she witnessed the scene..." my eyes blinked in surprise. "Witness? Nao?" Right... Of course Nao... The mysterious girl in this school. "Yeah, too bad she didn't see the suspect who kidnapped you..." Nao... I need to question her... "But... Do you know a girl named Sakura?," I asked. He froze. "S,Sakura...?! How do you know her?!," he asked back. Suspicious... What's his connection with her? "So you do know her, but who is she to you?," I asked. "Well... She's-" "Wait, never mind... Forget what I just asked...," I said as I walked towards my seat and sat down.
I know who she is now. She is the girl whom Ruko likes... My heart dropped. I don't know why, but my mind felt uneasy. Right! I shouldn't let Sakura get killed by that yandere! I need a plan to stop this mess...
Classes ended, I decided to stalk the stalker of Ruko. "Umm... Ruko?" "What?" "Can I stalk your stalker...?," I whispered. "What?!" "Someone's stalking you for sure...," I whispered. His eyes widen. "How come?," he asked. "Probably obsession...?," I replied. Ruko nodded his head. "Yeah, sure... Stalk me..." "No! I mean your stalker!" "Yeah, yeah! Whatever!" We had a 'how to get away from stalking' chat as we walked. "And you need self defense! Do you have some skill?," I asked. "Is punching a skill?" "I guess... Not...?" We kept talking until we arrived at my house. "Hey... Akari, I'm kind of scared...," Ruko mumbled. "Ruko? Scared? Like that exists!" Ruko suddenly tirned serious. "I'm serious, I don't want to die... I don't want anyone to die...! Am I the reason why girls are dying?!," Ruko asked. "Sadly, yes...," I replied. "Akari... Could I sleep at your house tonight?," Ruko asked. I rolled my eyes. "Fine! As long as I won't die!," I replied. Ruko hugged me. Thanks, best friend!," he thanked. "What the...? That's for girls you know!" "Yeah, yeah! Whatever!" It turns out, he isn't my senpai after all. This fluttering feeling inside me is all because of friendship... May be I like him before... But he didn't like me... I accept the fact that he doesn't like me anyway. But still... I hope Ruko's heart won't crack if negativity hits Sakura... We both walked inside my house.
"Mom... Can Ruko sleep here tonight?," I asked. Mom walked from the kitchen to the living room where the main door is located. "Why, yes! Sure, he could sleep here for tonight! How are you Ruko?," mom asked. "Ahh... I'm fine... I just want to stay here for tonight because it seems like someone's stalking me...," Ruko replied. "I see... I hope your stalker would disappear soon...!," mom said. After their short conversation, I showed Ruko the guest room. "This is where you will be sleeping... But then, you don't have any clothes!," I said. "It's fine... It is a weekend tomorrow right?," Ruko asked. "Well, yeah... Which means I have to monitor your house!," I replied. "What? Are you stalking my house?," He asked. I sighed. "How many times do I have to tell you that I'm stalking your stalker?!" "Okay...! I get it now!" And so, after some time, we all fell asleep.
The next day, Ruko could not be found. I tried looking for Ruko from his room to the whole neighborhood. I was hopeless. "Was he... Kidnapped...?," I mumbled to myself. But then, I heard heavy footsteps coming from behind. I am currently standing in front of my house.
