Episode 9 - Again Those Eyes

It was about 8:30 PM, Kevin was already there in Bruce's home for dinner. He was looking so handsome in black jeans and white T-shirt. His blue eyes were shining more bright than stars on the sky. He always had a heart melting smile on his face.

"Mom! Kevin's already here, we should start the dinner." Bruce said to his mom

"Yeah, my son! We've some other guests too, they'll be here in few minutes, I hope you'll be okay with this,Kevin?" Mrs. Lautner asked to Kevin with a smile on her face.

"No problem, Mrs. Lautner. I'm totally fine with this." Kevin nicely replied to her.

"C'mon Mavis, it's already 8:50 PM we're getting late, please come fast I'm waiting for you." Elizabeth found herself leaving a voice message to the Mavis while waiting for her outside of her Hostel.

After few minutes Elizabeth saw Mavis coming towards her car with a black cocktail dress and there were curls in her hair which made her look stunning than ever.

"I'm sorry, I know I'm lil bit late but because of..."

"It's fine my babygirl, you don't have to explain something to me. I think we should leave now." Elizabeth said, opening the car door for Mavis.

"By the way, you're looking absolutely stunning, but the only thing which is irritating me and I'm sure it'll irritate everyone who'll be there for dinner is your this creepy mask. I mean if you keep wearing this mask, how you'll be able to have a dinner with us?" Elizabeth said to Mavis while taking a U-turn.

Mavis found herself thinking, something. She was really worried because she was too shy and awkward. It was very difficult for her to face people. She had a social anxiety. She was looking so nervous and her hands were getting cold.

"Mavis? What are you thinking?" Elizabeth asked to her to divert her attention.

"Elizabeth, I think I shouldn't have to go with you to the dinner. I mean I don't know where we're going for dinner and who invited us and I don't have any kind of link with your mother's friend so it'll be really awkward for me. How I'll be able to face those people? You know I don't have enough confidence." Mavis said to Elizabeth.

Her face had many unexplainable expressions. She was being afraid to face people and being afraid to be the part of this gathering. She didn't want anyone to ask about her, to ask the reason for wearing this mask.

"Don't worry Mavis, I'm with you and you should trust me." Elizabeth rubbed her hand against the hand of Mavis to keep her calm.

"Here we're, c'mon step outside. We already reached our destination". Elizabeth said while taking off her seat belt.

That was a beautiful house and it was looking like castle. There were lighting everywhere and everything was looking so amazing.

Elizabeth hold the hand of Mavis to make her comfortable. Elizabeth and Mavis both entered to the door.

Mrs. Lautner was already at the door to greet them both. Mrs. Lautner was a friend of Mrs.Warren (Elizabeth's mom) and she liked Elizabeth for her Son Bruce so, she invited her for the dinner. Elizabeth insisted to bring her friend (Mavis) for the dinner too.

" Hey, my cutie pie! You're looking gorgeous as always". Mrs. Lautner said while hugging Elizabeth.

"Thank you, Mrs. Lautner. She's my best friend, Mavis". Elizabeth said, pointing towards Mavis.

Mavis hit her with her elbow.

" Oops, sorry! Eletha, she's Eletha". Elizabeth corrected herself.

"Hey! Mrs. Lautner". Mavis was waving her hand in air to greet her.

" It's nice meeting you, Eletha".

"C'mon girls, come inside. Dinner is getting cold." Mrs. Lautner said to Elizabeth and Mavis.

Then Elizabeth and Mavis both started following Mrs. Lautner to the dinning room.

"Bruce Kevin,my boys! this is Eletha and this is Elizabeth, our guests for tonight." Mrs. Lautner introduced them to Bruce and Kevin.

Bruce and Kevin turned their heads towards the girls and they literally dropped their jaws on the ground. They both were shocked as hell. Their eyes were wider than ever.

Mavis and Elizabeth were standing still when they saw the faces of those two boys. They both wanted to say hey to them but words couldn't come out of their mouths. They weren't expecting them.

"You? What're you doing in my house?" Bruce asked Elizabeth with aggression.

"Oh, excuse me! We're your guests as Mrs. Lautner just told you, so you guys have to talk to us respectfully." Elizabeth replied to him like a bold and confident girl.

Kevin couldn't take his eyes off Mavis. She was looking so pretty in black although she was wearing that mask but still her eyes were so magical.

“For your eyes only,
I show you my heart.”

He wanted to say hey to her but he couldn't. Bruce and Elizabeth were arguing, Mavis was trying to stop Elizabeth and Kevin was continuously staring at Mavis.

"Stop it, guys what's wrong with you? Bruce, they're our guests, you have to behave." Mrs. Lautner shouted at Bruce.

Bruce suddenly shut his mouth and they all pulled their chairs and were getting ready to start the dinner.

"You should take this mask off, Eletha" Mrs. Lautner said to Mavis "How you'll eat with this mask on?"

Mavis was confused as hell. She was losing her courage to speak. She wasn't understanding what to do and what to say.
