Your pov
You sat in the asylum, looking out the glass door in front of you. You had a straight jacket on you meaning you can't do anything much in here. You got sent here by toriel. Tears streamed down your face. You just HAD TO do it there. That shows how much of a failure you are. Toriel saw you cut yourself and then she just put you in here, thinking you were crazy. You just wanted the oh-so-sweet release of death, not rot in this asylum. Toriel always tried to get you to eat but you stayed here. Your stomach growled and you ignored it. You starved yourself, thinking that it was the only way out since toriel didn't leave you much of a choice. You tried banging your wall but you remembered there were CCTV cameras in your room and when you did, one of the guards, undyne, stopped you. She then decided to guard your cell, looking at you from time to time. That's what she was doing right now. Toriel walked in front of your cell and talked to undyne. You didn't hear because the glass was sound proof. Suddenly, the door opened. Undyne went in and helped you up. You haven't stood up in a long time so you stumbled, clearly weak. Toriel looked at you, worry evident in her face. "(Y/n), since we don't have enough rooms and there was somebody going to be sent in your room that is kind of paranoid, you need to share a room with another. All the rooms are occupied with two or more people so we decided that you'll share one with sans since there is space for you there." You didn't respond. She sighed. "Undyne, please lead her there." Undyne nodded and she dragged you carefully. You stumbled quite a few times, seeing as you haven't walked much and decided to stay seated in your corner. You both finally arrived. You saw a skeleton through the glass with a straight jacket. He looked like he was laughing, looking beside him though nobody was there. Undyne opened the door and put you in there. The skeleton noticed and looked at you. Undyne closed the door and went off, probably to talk with toriel. You sighed and walked off to the corner of the room and curled up. You heard footsteps and saw the skeleton looking at you. "Oh! Hello there friend! What's your name?" You looked away. It doesn't really matter if they know your name or not, you will be forgotten in a nick of time. He, judging from his voice, looks confused because you didn't respond. "Not much of a talker? It's alright! My name is sans and he is papyrus!" He gestured beside him. There was nobody there. Probably an imaginary friend of his. You growled. How rude are you? He was clearly trying to be friendly and your just ruining it! You finally responded. "(Y-y/n)." Your voice cracked and was raspy since you haven't been talking and drinking water. He looks worried. "(Y/n)? Are you okay?" You smiled. The usually question. "I'm f-f-fine." You said the usual answer. He still looks worried. Toriel unlocked the door. "Sans? (Y/n)? It's time to eat!" Sans smiled at toriel then looked back at you. "Come on (y/n)!" You shook your head. He seems confused. "Do you not want to eat?" You shook your head once more. He looks worried and goes to toriel. You were left there once toriel locked the door and leaded sans to the cafeteria.
Soon enough, they returned. Sans went in. You saw that he was carrying something. You looked at him. Toriel closed the door and you saw him coming to you. "Hey (y/n)! I heard toriel talk about you and I heard that you haven't really been eating..." His voice got quiet at the end. "And that's why I bought you some food!" He gave you a paper bag. You looked inside and saw (f/f), (fav snack) and water. You put the bag beside you and smiled at him. "Thank you sans but-" "nonsense! You should eat (y/n)! I... I don't want you to starve." He was so sweet. You will feel really bad for turning down his offer.
Pffftt... Don't be silly! He's only trying to be kind!
You sighed. You still believe your thoughts though. Sans sat beside you and got the paper bag. He gave you the plate/bowl and looked at you expectantly. You smiled and after it. It tasted so... So delicious! You dug in but quickly stopped yourself.
Stop acting like a pig! He hates you enough to see you like that!
You ate more carefully. You offered some to sans and he ate with you. You both finished and you grabbed (f/s) and ate. You hummed and shared it with sans. You then drank the water. It felt so good to eat food again. Sans smiled and yawned. "I better go to sleep. You should too (y/n)." He went to a matress at the other side of the room. "Night (y/n). Night paps..." He dozed off. You went to the matress near you and laid down. You smiled. "Goodnight sans." You then slept, falling in a pit of nightmares.
Temskip...
It has been a few months since you were here. Sans had finally got you to the cafeteria with him and toriel was relieved. Sans had also untied your straight jacket and you can finally move your arms around. You had eaten more because you didn't want to disappoint him. He was too kind and got you to have a small crush on him, though, thoughts always made it's way to your mind and they are not pleasant. You always curl up every night because of this and this is one of those nights...
You put your head in between your legs, voices making their way to you. They called you names and stating some things. You felt tears streaming down your cheeks. "S-stop..." You whispered.
Ha ha... What's wrong (y/n)? Are you sad? Ha! You should be! Besides, that makes everybody happier! It makes them more happier if you die! Your not supposed to exist in this world! It will do everyone a favor! Even sans!
You whimpered as the voices laughed and continued. Your whimpers got louder. You didn't know how much time passed but you were being shaken. "(Y/n)? (Y/n)! Snap out of it!" You heard sans's voice. The voices were still going on and on. It didn't stop... You couldn't stop weeping. Suddenly, you felt arms around you. "Shh... (Y/n) please stop crying..." You felt sans's head on top of yours. The voices still didn't stop but they were getting less and less. Sans still comforted you, whispering comforting things in your ear. "Relax (y/n)." The voices finally calmed down as you hugged sans back, emotionally exhausted. You breathed heavily and fell asleep. Sans smiled. "I'll be with you always. I promise and this one is the one I ought to keep."
Yo! If you are asking, what's with the depressed chapters? Well, I felt like it! No no no! I'm not depressed! Just, ideas went into my mind and it involves the reader being depressed so yeah!
