Sans's pov
It had been 2 years before that incident happened and she is still not back. I'm in my locked room and everyone is trying to get me out of here but, I won't. I just liked there, crying my eyesockets out. I only come down if I'm hungry. Everyone is worried sick and they tried breaking my door to pieces but they can't because I used magic to make it indestructible and gaster can't teleport in either because again... Mmmmmmagic. So today, I decided to go out for a while. The others planned to go to the park so I got a black turtleneck and a purple hoodie because why not? I need to change hoodies plus I want a purple one. I got out of the door to see everyone just looked glad. They all tackled me but before they can, I teleported to the side. They all fell on the ground. I should have been laughing right now but I can't and I won't. They all stood up and looked at me with concern. My eyesockets doesn't have the little white pinpricks years ago until now. It's still as empty and dark as the void. "Ummmmmm.... Okay...? Let's go...?" Undyne said and we all went out. We got in toriel's car and she drove. I sat at the back. No one beside me. They were all in front of me. They were so worried about me when they looked at me. I just smiled but it's fake. They frowned and went back to what they were doing. I was going to fall asleep until I felt a hand on my hand. I shook myself awake quickly and saw (y/n) holding me hand. She was smiling. When I was going to hug her, she disappeared. Huh... Must've been my imagination... Like always. Toriel parked the car and we all left. Frisk, papyrus,toriel,undyne and alphys went to the playground, while asgore and gaster went to a bench. I sat by the fountain. There was roses everywhere and there is a bench nearby. I sat there and watched the kids play,adults talk and couples do things. That made me kinda jealous but not that it matters anyways. I pulled out my phone and got my headphones (how does that work?!?!?) I put it on my head and connect it to my phone. I selected a song and apparently, it's a love song. Great. (Play music!!!!)
I started humming the song. I didn't noticed that tears were strated to form at my eyesockets. I missed (y/n) so much. I just stopped humming and put my phone on my lap. I got my hands on my face and started to cry. I felt a hand on my shoulder. I looked and saw gaster. There was many emotions at his face. Sad,pity and concern. "Look sans. I know that you miss her but you have to move on. She even said that to you. Yo-" "I CANT MOVE ON OKAY?!?!? ITS HARD TO LOSE A PERSON THAT ONLY UNDERSTANDS YOU!!! THAT IS ONLY BY YOUR SIDE WHEN YOU NEEDED IT!!! WHEN TH-THEY... W-When you love them...." I cried more and looked away from gaster. I didn't even bother to wipe my tears away. "Look. I need some time here." Gaster sighed and teleported away. I turned the music off and out my phone and headphones back at the house. I teleported them back to the house. I stood up and got a rose. It reminded me more of (y/n) because roses are one of her favorite flowers. I went back to the bench and fell asleep a few minutes of crying later. I felt someone carry me and I opened my eyes to see (y/n). She smiled at me and patted my head. I shot up and hugged her. She hugged back. She teleported to our house while letting go of the hug. I wanted it to last longer but we always need to let go. She climbed up the stairs and went to my room. She tucked me in bed and I haven't noticed but it's already night time. She patted my head again and sat on a chair next to me. I fell asleep and saw that she disappeared.
Your pov
Sans slept and you went back to the void. You can't spend too much time at the world. Sans still hasn't moved on and he really needs you. You watched him throughout the years. You still can't think of how to go back. You don't want him to be sad all of the time. You always spend time in the void, thinking of how to go back. As you were just about to teleport back to see sans, you saw someone at the distance. They are coming towards you. You looked away and you felt a tap on your back. You turned around to see... Chara? "Well hello there (y/n)! It's nice to see you again!" "Hey chara! What are you doing here?" "Well... I wanted to make a deal with you. Since you wanted to go back to the others so badly, I got you this!" She showed a small orb which is glowing red. "I managed to find all of the souls and got them. I combined them and then poof! You can now live again." You were going to grab it but she put it out of your grasp. "Nuh uh uh! You need to do something for me first~!" "What is it?" "Well... As you can see, I need a soul! Actually, I need two of them. I need a monster soul and a human soul. You need to make some for me." "But, why didn't you use the other souls to make you have a physical form again and make a monster soul?" "Nah I can't do that. I need my original trait which is right here!" She said and pulled out a orb but it has a darker shade of red. "You need to create a trait less soul and get this trait in it. You can work in alphys's lab. I put the things you needed to make it." "Why won't you do it yourself?" "Because I don't know how to make one and your the smart one here! Now, no more questions! Go now! Tata~!" You got teleported to alphys's lab. You saw the dark red orb at the table and Chara at the side. You started working.
A few moments later...
You made it! You got the orb and put it in the human soul. You gave the human soul and monster soul to chara.
(Future update: asriel was still flower they just showed who flowey really was)
"Excellent work!" "Where is the other orb Chara?" "Oh. Here!" She tossed it and you caught it. "I will be going now. You go have fun!" She disappeared. You got your soul out and put in the orb. You started to feel pain in your soul. It was aching pain. It hurts! You dropped to your knees and gripped your chest where the soul might be. Then, it slowly fades away. You saw that your left hand and color is back. You felt something kind of cold on your cheek and eye. It soon faded and you went to the mirror and saw that your back! You smiled and quickly ran towards the barrier. Since your back to human, you don't have any more powers but it's worth it! You ran and ran. You were DETERMINED to see sans again. You made it to their house. It's midnight. You sneakily opened the door and you ended up using a clip to open it. You sneaked in the house. No one is awake yet which is good. You went upstairs and the stairs made a creaking sound. You heard someone behind you and you saw that it's sans. He can't see you clearly because 1) he is tired and 2) it's so dark. You can only see his glowing eye. "Hey! Get out of here robber!" He whispered yelled and got your in a blue aura and shot a bone through your arm. You hissed in pain. You wanted to scream but you don't want to wake anyone up. Blood went down your arm. He shot you more bones through the shoulders and your other arm and threw you to the walls. You felt tears coming out of your eyes. You saw a gaster blaster was going to hit you. You saw that your hp is only 1. You just screamed the loudest you can and the lights went on. You saw everyone with shocked faces especially sans and gaster. You passed out before seeing sans run to you. "Shoot" you heard him say that before you passed out.
Sans's pov
I can't believe that (y/n) is back! She is back and I hurt her. What kind of monster am I?!?!? I picked her up and undyne threw a spear at (y/n) but I ran to the side and it missed. "Sans! Why are you defending the robber!?!? Earlier you were trying to kill her hut now your defending her?!?!?" "Undyne don't you ever lay a finger to hurt (y/n) or else. Tori, pap, please heal her!" Toriel and papyrus seemed to hesitate before nodding. I sighed in relief and went to my room. I put her on the bed as toriel and papyrus went in. They started to heal her. I just held her hand and tried to heal as well but I'm not that good at healing. We all stopped healing and they left the room. I shut the door and got a chair. I put it beside the bed and sat on it. I got my elbow on the bed and my head on my hand. I sighed and strated petting her hair. I'm just so stupid! She is back from the void and I just almost killed her! Good thing the lights went on. I sighed again but a little louder and longer. I just stared at her and fell asleep while holding her hand.
The next day...(or a few hours later because it was midnight when you two fought)
Your pov
You woke up and saw that your in sans's bed. You shot up but you laid back down because your whole body hurts. You groaned. Your throat felt raspy because you haven't really screamed much and your not used to it. You saw sans beside you sitting on the chair and he was about to wake up. He groaned and when he saw you, he started to hug your arm and cried in sadness and happiness at the same time. "I'm sorry I almost killed you! I miss you so much please don't hate me!" He started to say things so fast that you can't even understand. "Oka- *cough cough!* -y! You don-" "Don't speak (y/n) or your voice might get worse. I know you don't scream much so rest your voice okay?" You nodded and he gave you a white board, a white board eraser and a white board pen. "Here. Write what you are going to say." You wrote: 'it's okay sans. Don't apologise. I know that you just wanted to protect them.' "b-but I hurt you and you just came back from the void! I just can't forgive myself for doing that!!!" The door opened and you saw toriel carrying a bowl of soup. She placed it on your lap and smiled. "Gaster explained everything. It's nice to meet you my child." She shook my hand and let go. "I have to go now okay? Sans, please take care of her. I have to do something." And with that, she went out of the room. Sans looked at you. "(Y/n). I know this isn't the time to tell you this but, I wanted to say that I...... I-i....." You wrote on your white board. 'cmon! Spit it out. You can do it!' sans seemed nervous. "I-i-i..... I... ILIKEYOU" Sam's said that very quickly and closed his eyes, bracing for something. You blushed and wrote something. You tap his shoulder and he opened one eyesocket. You kissed him. He was shocked but kissed back. You let go quickly and showed him what you wrote. ' I like you too sans' he blushed. You smiled and got your soup. You drank it and finished quickly. Man, toriel's dishes are always great. You put it at the countertop beside you and you and sans talked for the rest of the day happily.
