Your pov

Smiles. There are many different types, right? A genuine smile, a sad smile, a HaPpy smile. You always had one of your own kind with you. To say that you were okAy... You always thought of getting rid of yourself so that the lies would end, well, some of it. There were some other people like you out there but who were you to judge? There was nobody like you. Your the only freak around here. The barrier broke, monsters came in. You wondered why they were even called monsters. Is it because of their looks? Sure, they might look intimidating but they are just misunderstood. You had gotten friends and they were kind. You had one crush though, it was your best friend, sans. He was a skeleton that loved jokes and puns. He always hung out with you. He was one of the reasons that you stayed alive. You didn't die because of him, but... Isn't he mad? Isn't he disappointed in you for not dying? He always looked happy but he's just that kind. On the inside, he's probab- no.... He's definitely disgusted in you. You were just not supposed to exist. He's just playing along. Everybody is.

You cried in your room, clutching the blankets tight. It was one of those days, the days you just cry because you are still existing. You just don't do it out there, they are probably relieved that you saved them from your disgusting wails. Who were they you ask? Sans and papyrus. You had let them live here because they don't really have a house yet. When they do, they will be more than delighted to leave you. They were probably tired of your shenanigans. The door opens as light flooded the room. You looked up, eyes red and puffy. You saw sans, looking worriedly at you. "(Y/n)? Are you alright?" Ah, the usual question. You smiled at him. "I'm fine." You said. Lies. You don't say anything but lies. Sans let the door open just a crack and sat beside you, hand on your back. "It doesn't look like it." You look down, ashamed of yourself. He sighed and rubbed your back. "(Y/n), please. Just tell me if there's something wrong okay?" You looked at him, hesitating before nodding. Was he-? No. He's not. He's just doing what you usually do. Of course he doesn't care. He's just doing a kind gesture. "This has been going on for a week. (Y/n), what is bothering you?" You shook your head and shakily opened your mouth to answer. "I-its nothing. Besides, don't you h-have your own problems?" That sounded kind of rude. He's probably mad at you. He sighed. "(Y/n). Look, I just want you to not face these problems anymore. I want you to be happy. Besides, isn't that what friends are for?" Your heart ached. You had always said it to yourself and you had always expected it but, why does it hurt when he says it? You already knew that he wont go past friendship for you, only meeting you is already such a chore. It still... Hurts.... It felt like thousands of needles stabbing your soul. Sans hugged you. You hugged back, sobbing. What are you doing? He probably doesn't like this. You let go quickly. He looked at you, still worried. You smiled at him. A smile with a happy theme, yet it had a really broken meaning. He smiled back at you. He stood up and went to the door. He went to the other side of it and before closing it, he looked at you. "Don't let your problems bring you down alright? Because somebody really cares for you." He shut the door, the light disappearing. Your smile faded into nothing, your demons dancing around your head, saying nasty things about you. He doesn't care, nobody does. He's just saying it for you to feel better about yourself, right....? You looked down, clutching your head to try and stop the voices even though you already knew that they won't leave you. You tried to stay strong, for them, for sans. But won't they want you to die? Not hanf in to life? Your mind was a mess right now, you lay down the bed, staring at the ceilings where a few glow in the dark 'stars' were seen. You fell asleep, voices echoing.

It wasn't really any better. Each day, the voices were multiplying and they were getting louder. You just decided to hide it. What's the point? This is it... You marked this day the day that everyone can be happy.... When you can be free from the demons.... Where they will be free from your nonsense... You decided to go to the forest. You woke up early. You looked at the clock. 4:00 am. You got your noose and hid it in a bag. You got a pen and paper. You wrote a note to sans and papyrus. You put it on your door and walked downstairs. You looked around in your house for the last time. You smiled at the picture of you and the monster family. There were Toriel and asgore at the back, undyne and papyrus in front of them, you, sans and alphys at the second front and then there was frisk, Chara and asriel at the front, smiling. You opened the door, wiping the stray tears rolled down your face. You didn't even bother changing out of your long sleeves and pants as you went out. It was a bit chilly but you kept on going. You saw a unfinished building beside yours. That was sans and Papyrus's house in the future. You kept on going, seeing the other's houses. You finally made it to the forest. The trees were tall and it's shadows looked over you. You walked in, getting lost. Doesn't matter anyways.
