Logan's POV

I was tired today, like, really tired. I might've took up my night to study for a math test. But it was worth it to get a good mark.

I slam my locker closed and head towards my next class. I skim through the halls and try to remember them. I'll only be here for a few more months, and then off I go. It's sad, really.

My thoughts get disrupted by crowds of kids rushing off to their next class. I look around and find a familiar face. Joy.

"Hey, Joy, wait up," I say.

She turns to look at me, then keeps walking.

"Hey!" I shout, as I catch up to her.

"What do you want Logan?" She asks.

"So, last weekend..." I say as her face scrunches up, "I saw you with my cousin."

Her eyes bulge out, "oh, yeah, Scott?"

"Yeah. So I apologize in advance for his weirdness," I say. I didn't want her to think I'm strange because of my cousin.

"Oh no, he's great, not like his cousin who ditched him," she says.

"I was at Grayson's house!" I yell.

"Are you sure you aren't getting his house confused with the girl you practically swallowed at Kaitlyn's party?" She raises an eyebrow.

I can't believe she thinks that.

"I was drunk! I didn't know what I was doing....and what about you? Weren't you also letting some people push you into a closet?" I ask.

"Ugh, don't remind me," She says as she starts to walk away.

I decide to give up. I couldn't budge her, at least not right now. As I'm about to walk the other direction, I see Sebastian's eyeing me. I glance and him and he takes his finger, and points it towards Joy. Go, his lips read.

I run up to Joy again and turn her around.

"What are you doing Logan..." she says.

"Are you busy this Saturday?" I ask her.

"What?" She replies.

"This Saturday? Would you please make me a happy man and come get fro-yo with me?" I ask her again.

"Uh no...." she says as I start to frown, "oh come on....any girl could make you a happy man."

"Not the type of happy that you make me feel," I say. She rolls her eyes.

"Stop with the fake compliments. I'm nothing as good as Jenna and her friends, and you know it too," she says sadly.

Yeah, because you're so much better then them, I think.

"Sorry, I have to go, I'm gonna be late for class," she says.

"But- ugh..."

I turn around when I suddenly feel a hand on my shoulder. Joy?
