It all started with a stupid bet. That one bet Logan had to do, that changed my whole world. I'm not any different than any other girl, not special, 'nor unique, why did I have to let a guy change all that? Maybe because I wanted to believe it too...

I walk outside of the school building to meet Adeline at her bright pink car. I suggested getting a different one, but she just wouldn't pull through.
"Remind me again why you got that car?" I ask her.
"Because...hey, don't judge, it gets out more often than you do," she says back with a grin.
I roll my eyes. I hop in the car and we drive to the mall to buy some clothes. We get there and park near the Starbucks entrance.
"Adeline, why did you drag me here again? I thought we went to the mall a couple of days ago with Tristan, as well," I say.
"Yeah, well, that was days ago, and this time, I need an outfit for my date with Blake," she states.
"Do you-Oh never mind. Let's just go," I say as we head in.
We find a store Ade likes, and head towards it. She ends up walking much faster then me when a floral blue blouse catches her eye.
"Help me find a size smaller, will you?" She asks.
"Sure," I reply back. I had nothing else to do since I don't usually bring money with me to these mall trips. It's because, when I do, Adeline always ends up making me buy something in the end- or at least, finds something for me to buy in the end.
While I look through racks of blue blouses to find her size, Adeline starts, "Yes! Found it! Joy you don't have to-"
I wait for her to say something, but then nothing came. I turn around to find her hiding behind a rack of pants. A questioning look fills my face.
"Uh...Ade, what are you doing?" I ask her in confusion.
"Shhhh!" She shushes, as she motions to a figure on my left.
It was a lady-no, a mother. I realized that I recognized her at first, because I thought I saw her around school, but it wasn't that, that made her seem familiar.
It was the fact that a boy was waiting impatiently, a few feet away from her. Arms crossed, stood a curly dark haired, Louis Hartley.
I couldn't help myself from laughing, making Adeline give me a death glare while motioning me to join her.
I roll my eyes and duck underneath the pants, "This is so immature of you, Adeline. We're going to get caught!"
"Says the one that followed me," she shot back, with a smirk plastered across her face.
I roll my eyes as Adeline asks, "What do you think he's doing here?"
"Um, I'm pretty sure it's a mall, meaning, he's here to stalk you by hiding in a rack of jeans," I reply back, with a sarcastic tone.
She's confused at first, but then, "Haha, very funny Joy, I'm sure his mom just has amazing taste in clothing," she says as she ducks underneath the pants again.
I follow her out to find Louis looking right at me. I plaster an awkward smile at him.
"H-Hi Louis," I say awkwardly, as one of his eyebrows shoot upwards.
"You're Joy, right?" He asks.
"Yeah..." I reply.
He shakes his head while smiling, "I don't even wanna know," he says, and walks off towards his mother.
I find Adeline in the corner of my eye. Wide eyes and dashing towards me.
"What was that all about? What did he say to you? Come on Joy, tell-"
My laugh interrupts her, "All I can say is, your going to have an interesting brother," I remark.
"He's not my brother! At least not yet," she hisses, "Come on Joy, what happened?"
"Seriously Adeline, he just caught me sneaking out from the pants," I tell her as I roll my eyes.
"Okay, fine, let's go. I already paid for my stuff while you were canoodling with Louis," she says as she leaves me with an open mouth.
We head to the main square where I put my big black bag near the main tree. Adeline rushes off to buy a strawberry-watermelon-mango smoothie, with light sugar, and extra ice-and yes, I remember her usual, as I dash towards her to give her, her wallet.
"Here, Adeline, you forgot this," I say, as I catch up to her.
I run back to find my own wallet in my bag when suddenly, another pair of hands grabs the same bag I'm touching.
"Sorry, I think you've got the wrong bag," I say.
"It's mine," we say in unison.
I look up to meet some familiar sparkling blue eyes, in contact with mine...
