Chapter 2

Ashton's pov

I look as Luke stands up and leaves for the bathroom. That went well, not. I don't know why, but he doesn't seem to like me very much. "Don't take it personal Ashton, he's like that tk everyone." Calum says sensing my mood change. "He's like that to you too?" "Nah we've been friends forever, I think he's just not comfortable around other people." "Ow" "So tell us something 'bout yourself Ashton." Michael says to avoid the awkward silince that was coming up. "Well I play drums and sing a little. I live with my and my little brother and sister, the main reason we moved here is 'cause my mom got an offer for a better job here in town. "You know, we should all hang out sometime!" "Yeah that sounds good Mikey! How 'bout Friday at mine?" "Sure I'm in! But shouldn't we invite Luke too?" I say, not wanting to seclude to blue eyed beauty. "I'll ask him, don't worry." Calum reassures me.

As the bell rings we all stand up amd say a quick bye to eachother. I have English now and Michael nor Calum has it, so I'd have to find the way on my own. I walk down the halls of the school and just can't find the room! Everybody is already in their class so the halls are quiet. As I keep searching for the class I see Luke walk down the corrider, maybe I should ask him? "Luke!" he turns around and gives me a tiny nod when he sees me. "Hey Luke, I was wondering if you could maybe show me to my class? I can't find it." I say as I walk towards him. When I reach him I see that his cheek is blue and his eyes are bloodshot. "What happened?" he visibly swallows "I walked into a door." He replies, not meeting my eyes. I just nod, not believing a word he says. "So," he cleares his throat "what class do you have?" "English." " Ow me too, just walk with me." we walk to our class in silence.

After school I see my moms car parked in the parking lot, as I walk towards it I hear Michael call my name. I turn around to see him and Calum run my way. "We were thinking if maybe you'd like to go and have ice cream with us?" "Uh sure, I have to ask my mom first though." "Just go eat ice cream hun!" I chuckle and walk to Michael's car with them

When we have our ice cream we go and sit in a boot. "So Ashton, how was your first day?" "Well school has never been my favourite thing, but I guess it was okay? I met a lot of nice people." I respond to Calum's question, the rest of the time was spend with small talk.

"Bye Ash, see ya tomorrow at school!" Michael and Calum say as I get out of the car. "Bye guys! Thanks for the ride home!"

"So who were those guys? Do you have a crush on one of them? Did you meer other people too?" my mum comes rushing in as I close the door. "Hi to you too mom!" "Yeah yeah, so tell me everything!" ahe exclaims as she pushes me down on a chair and hands me a cup of tea.

"Yes I met some new people, they're all very nice. Those guys were Michael and Calum and no I do not have a crush on them. I just met them today!"my mom knows that I'm gay and she's very supportive about it. When I told her I was so nervous but she said she already knew. Now she wants me to get a boyfriend. Sigh, moms. "Ow to bad, theu were kinda cute." I roll my eues, everybody meet my mom.

As I lay in bed I let myind wander to a surtain blonde headed boy. Ehy wouldn't he want to talk to me? And why would he lie about walking into a door? These were my final thoughts as I drift into sleep
