(This chapter is short, but the next one is longer and more eventful!)

Getting my luggage off the conveyor belt was awful. I don’t even know how it was that hard considering I only had three suitcases and my purse! I was literally standing there, staring at the God awful contraption, carefully looking at each suitcase to see if it was mine. I would finally get each one after missing it twice. I. Need. Coffee. Now.

“Did you finally get your stuff?” Harry asked when I found him. He was sitting on a bench looking around with his hood up and sunglasses on. So much for a working disguise.

“Yeah. Thanks for the help,” I said sarcastically. He looked up at me and saw that I was drowning in my three suitcases and started laughing. I glared daggers at him.

“Sorry. Here, let me help.” He took two of the suitcases from my hands. He would have taken all of them, but I wouldn’t let him, being the stubborn ass that I am. He led me out to the back of the airport where a car and the rest of the boys were waiting for us.

“So, who do you want to stay with?” Liam asked when we got my bags situated in the car. Well, I never really thought about it. But I know who I don’t want to stay with.

“Whoever has an extra room!” I stated.

“Well, three of us do, so take your pick,” Niall said. We got in the car and I ended up sitting between Harry and Liam. Niall sat on the other side of Liam and Lou and Zayn sat in the row in front of us.

“It doesn’t really matter to me.” I shrugged. Niall slung his arm around my shoulders and told me that I could stay with him before we went on tour. I thanked him and looked out the window for the rest of the fifteen minute drive.

“What’s up with you and looking out windows?” Zayn turned to me when the car stopped.

“I don’t know, it just helps take my mind off… things,” I said truthfully. We got out of the car and walked into the lavish apartment complex. After riding a minute long elevator ride to their ‘exclusive’ floor, I was dumped in Niall’s apartment while the boys headed to their meeting. What to do in a gigantic apartment that isn’t yours?

I lugged my things to the guest room and began unpacking my necessary things. Once that was done, I almost used up every ounce of brainpower to figure out how to turn on the hot water in his highly complex shower. I know what you're thinking; how is turning on the shower hard? It is when you have to angle the nozzle away from you, pull out the knob, unplug the drain and set the temperature accordingly. Once all of that was done, I stepped in and almost gave myself a third degree burn. Damn Celsius. I set it on a low number and the heat was bearable. So I finally cleaned myself and stepped out before pulling on a sweatshirt and some skinny jeans. I dried my hair and pulled it up into a messy bun. I walked back out of the guest room and into the kitchen and started making some coffee. While the coffee was brewing I got my notebook out of one of my duffel bags and found a pen on the coffee table before playing around with some lyrics.

How could you do this to me? Be everything that I see. Making me want to believe that you can change. Turn around completely. Oh wow, where did that come from?

“That’s good.” A voice came out of nowhere and scared me half to death.

“W- what?” I stuttered, trying to cover my notebook from Niall as much as I could.

“Those lyrics you were writing, they’re really good.” He smiled at me before pouring himself a cup of coffee. I didn’t even hear the beep!

“Oh, uhm, thanks,” I said while pouring myself a cup. I poured some milk in it and put a spoonful of sugar in my drink before taking a sip.

“No problem. Trying to write your first hit?” he mused.

“No, just messing around,” I chuckled. “How was your meeting?” I asked.

“Boring as hell.” He rolled his eyes. “There’s this new guy who says he has a new idea for our image, but won’t tell us till right before the tour. It’s idiotic!” I nodded and took another sip of my drink.

“So besides the new guy with the bad idea, how was your meeting?”

“Nothing really to worry about.” He rolled his eyes. I felt kind of sorry for him. He was so fun and sweet, from what I knew, and now he has to deal with idiots.

“Let’s go out,” I said after a minute of silence.

            “What?” he sputtered.

“Let’s go out in the town and do something! Get your mind off that meeting,” I urged.

“Sure, why not.” He smiled at me. I went back into the guest room and let my hair down in waves and pulled on my white flats to go with my white hoodie. I walked back out and found Louis, Liam and Harry.

            “No Zayn?” I asked.

“He said he wanted to stay home,” Liam explained. I shrugged and followed them out of the apartment- or flat, as I was told. We took the elevator, which Louis found fun to jump in, and got into a black Range Rover in the parking lot. Louis sat in the driver’s seat and I sat next to Liam and Niall while Harry stretched out in the back. Louis turned on the radio and Call Me Maybe by Carly Rae Jepson was playing.

“I THREW A WISH IN THE WELL; DON’T ASK ME I’LL NEVER TELL. I LOOK TO YOU AS IT FELL, AND NOW YOU'RE IN MY WAY,” I sang along to the radio. Niall seemed ecstatic that I loved the song and Liam groaned in his seat next to me.

“This song is on all the time!” Liam pinched the bridge of his nose. I was about to say something back, but his phone rang.

“Hello? Yeah, she’s with us. Alright, but don’t bore her to death.” Liam hung up the phone and shoved it back in his pocket.

“Wait, what do I need to do?” I asked.

“You have a surprise meeting with the new tour manager and Simon right now, so Lou needs to drive us back down there.” Liam clapped Louis on the shoulder. Lou groaned before driving down to the gigantic record label building.
