I woke up the next morning with the sun shining in my face. I quickly sat up wondering where I was but then quickly remembered I was at Betty's. I slowly laid back down with a small smile on my face, happy that I didn't have another dream and remembering some of the little cuddles Betty and I shared last night.

I got out of bed and headed down stairs. When I was walking down the stairs I could smell pancakes. My favorite. I looked over to see Betty cooking a batch of chocolate chip pancakes and non-chocolate chip pancakes. She hated chocolate chip pancakes. I would eat any type of pancakes but chocolate chip, they were my favorite!

The dining room table was all set up with orange juice, syrup ,and some plates and forks. She turned around and smiled at me.

"Good morning, Jug"

"Good morning" I said while returning a smile. She quickly glanced down at my bare chest and quickly looked away knowing that I caught her.

"So, how did you sleep last night?" Betty said while setting down some pancakes in front of me and sitting down beside me.

"I slept really good, first time in a while that I slept a whole night." My eyes widened right after I said that last part, I didn't think about my words.

She looked over at me shocked.

"Do you have sleeping problems?"

Shit, here come the questions.

"I uh, don't have the best dreams sometimes, and they sometimes make me not want to sleep." I didn't know what to say, but that was the first thing that came to mind.

"About what?" she looked confused and worried.

I didn't want to answer that so I just cleared my throat and said, "These uh, pancakes are really good. Thank you."

She got the message and backed away from the subject.

"No problem. So what do you want to do today?" She said looking down at her food.

"Hmm. Maybe we could go to Pops later?"

"Sounds fun! Do you want to go and hangout at the Mall in the meantime?"

I wasn't really big on shopping and I was surprised she asked because she usually goes with Veronica. I couldn't say no though because it meant more time with Betty.

After we finished eating we headed upstairs to go get ready. I was about to grab some of my clothes until I heard Betty's phone ring. She looked over at it.

"It's Archie" she looked up at me.

She knew Archie and I weren't on taking conditions right now.

"What's up Arch?" she put it on speaker phone.

"I saw someone in ur room with you, who is it?"

We both looked at each other.

"Um, it's just a friend"

"It looked like a guy friend"

Archie said, sounding kind of irritated.

"Well it may or may not be but I don't really think that's your business Arch, is there anything else you called me for?"

"No"

"Ok, bye"

After she ended the call she walked over and closed her curtains.

"Thanks Betts"

"Of Course"

She grabbed some clothes and headed to the bathroom. Then I also grabbed some clothes and changed. I grabbed my toothbrush and headed to the hall bathroom.

When I came back I put on my hat in front of Betty's long mirror in her room. While I was adjusting my hat Betty came out of the bathroom, I could see her through the mirror. She looked so beautiful, she had her hair in a ponytail with a yellow tank top with a light grey cardigan over it with some denim jeans.

I turned around to get a better look at her. I looked back up into her eyes, her face was red.

"You look beautiful" I said, I could never hold back a compliment to Betty Cooper.

she smiled back "Thank you, Mr. Jones"

"Ready?" I said while stepping aside from the door so she could go first.

"Let's go!" she said with a pep in her step with a cute smile on her face.

Before I walked out the door I stopped and smiled at myself just thinking about how much my life has changed within a day and I am so happy I get to spend time with Betty Cooper.

We walked down stairs and Betty grabbed her coat and purse then looked out the window. Then turned back around and faced me.

"Archie is sitting outside his front porch" she said with a glare.

"What should we do?"

She looked down at the flor for a while then looked back up.

"I have an idea! Take off your hat,"

I took it off and she came over and messed up my hair.

"Ok we are going to go out and you will have your arm around me, and keep the back of your head facing him so he won't see your face and I will drive so he can't see you, deal?" she looked so proud of her idea it was so cute, I just couldn't say no.

"Let's go" I said while thinking "Im so happy I didn't wear my serpent jacket today"

Before we opened the door to go out I put my arm around her and pulled her closer to me. I glanced down to see her reaction and her cheeks turned a light shade of pink. Then I opened the door and we headed out.

It was a little awkward at first but then it just felt normal. Once we got out into the open she put her other arm so it rested on my chest and she started laughing to make it sound like I told her a joke.

When we got closer to the car we separated and with my head down I opened the door for her, and she replied "Thank you" then gave me a kiss on the cheek. I wasn't expecting that, I could feel my cheeks start to turn red. Then, I walked over to the other side of the car and got in then we drove away.

After we were out of the neighborhood I put my hat back on then glanced over at her.

"Thank you for doing that, you really didn't have to-" she cut me off.

"I did, I'd do anything for you and I'm so happy we are friends again." she glanced over at me taking her eyes off the road for a second.

"Me too" I replied.
