Thirty Two pt 2

Hey guys! So I just realized that nothing happened to Riley in chapter 33. So for all of you who were wondering... here is the chapter! Sorry for the long wait!

Riley's POV

I woke up with bright lights blinding my eyes. I want to hiss at the source of light but I fight the urge. I abruptly sit up but as soon as I do I get light headed and lay back down. Maya is immediately at my side.

"Riles what the hell happened?! Are you alright?! Do you need anything?! Do you want the doctor?! WE NEED A DOCTOR!!" She says without any breathe.

"Maya, Maya, calm down I am fine. I'm just really light headed. What happened?" I turn my head to the side to shield myself from the lights and see Farkle passed out in one of the chairs.

I smile slightly to myself and turn back to face Maya. She took a deep breath and pulled up a chair next to the hospital bed. "You passed out at the prom." That's when I realized that Maya was still wearing her stunning prom dress, and Farkle was still in his tuxedo.

"Why did I pass out?" I ask Maya hoping that she will know.

"The doctor's haven't told us yet." She replied.

"Are my parents here?"

"They just left to go pick up Auggie from my mom and Shawn."

"Where did Lucas go?"

"He went to get clothes for Farkle and I so we can get out of these super uncomfortable outfits."

"How long I have I been asleep?"

"Well you passed out around 9:30 ish, it's 7pm now, so almost 24 hours..."

"Why are you still in your prom dress then? And why is Farkle not changed?" I ask concerned. They had plenty of time to get out of their clothes.

"Because Riles, I refused to leave you when I didn't know what was wrong or if you were okay. I know your mom will be upset that she wasn't here when you woke up.

"So you stayed with me the whole day, without leaving?"

Maya nodded, "Well I did pee about three times, but other than that I was right by your side the whole time." She smiles and I return it.

"Thank you Maya. I love you."

"I love you too Riles." She gives me a slight hug and sits back down in her chair. Farkle snores slightly in his makeshift of a bed and I chuckle slightly.

"That's the first time he has slept since we got here. He really cares about you Riles." Maya adds. I blush to myself and try to quickly change the subject.

"So you don't know anything about how or why I passed out...?"

"Not a clue." She hands me a glass of water. "Are you thirsty." Surprisingly I was. I take a big gulp and Maya grabs it from me, setting it on the bed stand next to me.

Just then the door opens and in walks Lucas. He smiles when he sees that I'm awake. Maya gets up to grab her clothes and he gives her a kiss on the lips. She leaves the room and Lucas takes her spot next to my bed.

"Hey Riley, how are you feeling?" He asks with a smile, but concern is in his eyes.

"I feel fine actually. I just want to know what happened to cause me to pass out." Lucas nods agreeing with me gets up. He walks over to Farkle and shakes him gently. Farkle snores quietly and turns over.

I chuckle slightly and Lucas leaves him alone. He walks back over and sits down.

"You know, this is the happiest I have ever seen Farkle in a long time." Lucas chimes in wiggling his eyebrows.

"What do you mean?" I think I already know why.

"He's just a happier person when he is with you. When you said yes to going to prom with him, he would not stop talking about it until prom actually got here. And then, when you passed out, he freaked out. You're good for him, Riley. You are exactly what he needs." Lucas sorta whispers to me, careful not to wake Farkle up.

I smile to myself and Maya returns to the room. Lucas gets up, expecting her to want her seat back but she walks over to Farkle.

She bends down next to him and says," Farkle dear, GET THE HELL UP. YOU'RE GIRLFRIEND IS AWAKE!!" Farkle immediately jumps up and is at my side.

"Riley are you okay? What happened? Do you need anything?" He asks completely concerned.

"Farkle, honey, I'm fine. Thank you for being concerned." He smiles and pulls up a chair. Maya goes and sits down on Lucas' lap and I am surrounded by my best friends.

There's a knock at the door and in walks the doctor. He smiles when he sees I'm awake. "Hello Riley, I am Dr. Chase. How are you feeling?"

Everybody asking me how I feel is really starting to get old. "I'm fine." I smile.

He looks over to Maya, Farkle, and Lucas. "Are any of you family? Because if you are not I cannot give you any details about her health record until an immediate family member is present."

Maya stands up walks over to Dr. Chase. "I'm her sister, Maya Matthews. Now can I know what caused her to faint?"

"I'm sorry for being skeptical but you don't look anything alike." He replies.

"We're fraternal twins. We were born December 8th, 2001. She has brown eyes and I have blue eyes. I know we look nothing alike but I need to know what happened."

He takes a deep sigh and gives in. "Well Ms. Maya and Ms. Riley, according to your records, you had a lack of oxygen flow to your brain. This could've been caused by stress, meaning that you also have high blood pressure. It's very normal for teenagers to pass out so you shouldn't have to worry. But if this happens again I want someone to bring you in so we can run more tests."

"So is she free to leave?" Maya, politely asks.

Dr. Chase nods and we start to leave. "Ms. Maya Mathews we will need you to sign her out."

Maya leaves the room to sign me out, as Lucas and Farkle help me out of the room. Soon I am back in my own bed, a bowl of chicken noodle soup, and my best friend sleeping next to me.
