Tetsuo had survived a week of endless requests. He was exhausted and his hopes of somehow getting his old vampires back was dwindling.
Laito hadn't even spoken to him since he disappeared from his room. Not even a glance was given from one to the other. Everyone noticed it, but for the most part ignored it.
"Tetsuo! Are you even listening?" A tug on his hair made the wolf's head turn back to the tall vampire. Reiji stood before him, telling him about a dinner party coming up tomorrow night. Vampires from various places would be coming and Tetsuo was going to help set it up.
Of course, the exhausted man was barely even paying attention to instructions. Reiji wanted to get angry at him for paying the least bit of attention, but he couldn't deny that he had been worked rather hard the past week, because of everyone's anger.
A sigh left the vampires lips. "After making dinner, you may go to bed. Because of that, you need to be up in the morning to prepare the food and drinks for the party. Others will be there to help you." The vampire then took his leave.
Tetsuo nodded but took his time getting up from his seat and going to the kitchen. He prepared the dinner for the residents of the manor without interruptions for once.
He put plates and silverware out onto the dining table. When everything was done, he plated the food and returned to the kitchen for drinks. He set out cups then put a pitcher down, only filling one cup of something different for Yui.
As he was almost finished, a single vampire stepped up behind him. Tetsuo was too tired to even try to pick up who it was but he was surprised when he turned around and Kanato grabbed his hand.
"What did Laito do to you?" He suddenly asked.
"He's done nothing.." Was Tetsuo's initial response, but it only made Kanato grip his hand tighter.
"I mean one week ago. He told me he was going to your room and since then he hasn't requested one thing from you."
"I can assure you, nothing happened— Ow!" Tetsuo winced as Kanato's grip tightened even more. Tetsuo swore something could've broken.
"You shouldn't lie." Tetsuo looked down. He shouldn't be lying. But so far that is what's keeping him here; keeping them from possibly killing him or trying to kill someone else.
Tetsuo looked at Kanato, "He—," He cut himself off as he saw Laito approaching the dining hall. They made brief eye contact but it was quickly broken by the both of them. As Laito came closer, Tetsuo gave Kanato a small smile, "He only asked me to play a game with him. A game of darts. But he decided to .. let me rest instead."
Kanato listened, but shrugged after. "Alright, you can go. And you should probably fix that." He said, nodding towards his hand. He gave no apology for the now obviously broken hand. He simply sat down and waited for the others.
"Thank you." Tetsuo found himself saying. Last week, Kanato would have broken more than his hand for lying. He probably would have assumed the last bit was a lie as well, even if it had been the truth.
Tetsuo held his throbbing hand and kept his head down, making his way upstairs.Tetsuo let out a long yawn as he headed downstairs to the kitchen. He had already re-wrapped the bandages that were around his hand so he quickly went to help the others cook and prepare for the event that night.
The wolf was used to being up at any time, day or night, but his movements were still sluggish. Nonetheless, he got what he had to done. Eventually, Reiji was downstairs and in front of Tetsuo again; telling him how the evening would go.
"Now, you know Ayato always has trouble with his attire. I'm sure he won't mind you assisting him at the moment." Reiji finished before walking off to talk to the men setting up tables.
Tetsuo smiled to himself, laughing a bit. Ayato never learns. The wolf would always help the vampire with his attire, Laito as well, but Tetsuo always felt Laito did it just because.
Tetsuo made his way to Ayato's room, almost opening the door upon arrival. He caught himself and knocked first, waiting for an answer.
Inside the room, Ayato smiled to himself knowing it was Tetsuo. Every time he helped him. The vampire sighed quietly before telling the wolf to enter.
Tetsuo tried to hide his smile as he entered the room, looking at Ayato's mess of getting ready. Tetsuo couldn't help but chuckle a bit as he quickly went to Ayato's shirt, pulling it a bit before buttoning it properly. To the wolf's surprise, Ayato said nothing and only watched his hands work or his concentrated face.
Tetsuo dusted off the shirt, for no reason in particular. "Still fits..." He barely murmured, realizing it was the same damn shirt he always wore for events. Even if Ayato changed the jacket or the pants, the shirt stayed the same.
Tetsuo looked to the ground a bit, trying not to get upset or tear up. He felt like such a baby. He let out a shaky sigh and grabbed the vampires jacket, putting it on him and making sure it looked right.
Ayato watched as the wolf's lip quivered, as it would sometimes. He wasn't even focused on the event before them anymore as the wolf stood before him. Ayato hadn't even realized the wolf was done at this point.
Tetsuo looked at the other male, almost a hopeful look in his eyes. Hopeful for what? Tetsuo shook his head of the thought before turning to leave.
Ayato watched him in silence. He wanted to speak, but what would he say? After all the things he thought he would say if he ever say Tetsuo again; he can't say any of them.
The vampire found himself walking forward and reaching for the door— no, Tetsuo's hand; a hand he now realized was bandaged. But the door was already closed.

Okay so I wrote about Tetsuo getting his hand broken and my dad just found out he broke his hand (and his foot). Isn't that strange !
