Tetsuo sat at his desk, sadly looking at a journal he had. All the words on the page were jumbled and indecipherable, even for him. And he wrote it.
He sighed and shut the book, standing up from his desk, as the door opened. In walked a shorter boy with shaggy orange hair and bright blue eyes.
"Are you feeling well, Tetsuo?" He asked, approaching the wolf. Tetsuo glanced at him, continuing to walk towards his bed.
"I'm fine, Matthias." He said, slumping onto his bed. "You really shouldn't lay down again. You need to eat—" The orange-head started.
"I'm fine, Matthias." He repeated. Matthias frowned, sitting next to Tetsuo sprawled out on the bed. "I don't believe you."
"You never do." Tetsuo whispered, moving to hold onto the other boy. Matthias sighed and returned the hug, letting the older male rest his head.
They sat for a while, until a squeak was heard from the door. "Oh, my apologies sir! I didn't mean to interrupt." Tetsuo looked up to see one of his maids. Her name was Yuno.
"You didn't interrupt anything. What is it?" Tetsuo asked calmly. "Your food is ready. You..you really shouldn't miss another meal, sir. You're getting skinnier." She said, trying to be as polite as possible.
Tetsuo sighed but nodded, removing himself from Matthias and standing up. "Alright. Get the others."
Tetsuo then followed Yuno to the dining room. There was food enough for the maids, Tetsuo, and Matthias. They were the only ones in the secluded mansion.
The maids were supposed to be his workers, but he treated them like equals. He did the same with Matthias, who originally was bought as a "gift" for Tetsuo. He was supposed to be his slave, used for whatever he wanted, but Tetsuo would never touch the poor boy in such a way. If anything, Matthias was Tetsuo's shoulder to cry on.
The only time Tetsuo and the others acted as they were supposed to; A master and his workers, was when the one who put them there visited. Karlheinz.
3 years ago, Tetsuo was threatened multiple times. If he didn't leave the vampires he loved dearly, then definite misfortune would come upon himself and the others. And by misfortune, most times it meant death.
Tetsuo never knew who the threats and such came from but when it got too much, he ran. In fear that something really would happen to the others. He obeyed and found himself with Karlheinz.
The vampire king told the wolf he did the right thing, so he was taken to his own mansion with his own maids and slaves. Tetsuo went to live in luxury, but he was never happy there. For 3 years he acted as though he was alright with having such great luxuries, even if it meant he left the ones he loved. But he wasn't ever happy.
The maids knew. Matthias knew. They tried to help him, but they also knew that there was nothing they could do. So they accompanied the wolf until he figured out what he would do.
"Tetsuo.. you're not eating! Don't make me feed you young man!" An older maid, everyone called her grandma, snapped at Tetsuo.
"Sorry, Old Woman!" He laughed, with a little glare. He then started to eat as the conversation around the big table started to grow.
Suddenly a maid left the room, she came back at high speed, face filled with pure shock. "He..He's here! We.. We forgot what the day was! He's here!" She shouted.
Everyone stopped, eyes wide with shock. "Shit! Alright, everyone up. You know the drill." Tetsuo shot up from his seat, grabbing Matthias' hand. He pulled him up to his room and grabbed a collar.
The wolf looked at the other, an apologetic look in his eye. "God, I'm so sorry for this." Matthias nodded in understanding. Tetsuo snapped the collar around the orange heads neck.
Tetsuo then shooed him out of his room and he ran around to fix his attire. Finally he left his room; Matthias waiting patiently at his door. "Yuno should be letting him in now." Tetsuo nodded and started down the stairs. They arrived at the door just as the vampire king waltzed in."I look forward to your visit next month." Tetsuo lied with a smile, waving off the Vampire King. He then shut the door, letting out a long sigh.
"You okay, Matthias?" He started, walking over to the boy to remove the collar. The other nodded, staying by Tetsuo's side. Tetsuo then checked on everyone else. When he was sure they were fine as well, and that the mansion was at least tidy, he told them goodnight and left them to theirselves.
The wolf trudged off to his room, Matthias only a few steps behind him. "You want me to stay in there tonight?"
Tetsuo opened his door, looking back at the boy. "Oh no you're fine." He whispered before entering his room and shutting the door. Though Matthias stayed at the door, just in case.
The door opened back up. "Actually.." Matthias chuckled, pushing past Tetsuo and into the room. "Are you sure, Matthias? I really hate bothering your sleep.."
"You know it's fine, Tetsuo. You're used to...someone..being next to you, so it makes sense." Tetsuo nodded before heading into his bathroom to change. Matthias removed his shirt and climbed into the bed. Tetsuo joined him shortly.
Matthias faced the wolf as they laid down. The orange-head smiled, "Goodnight." Tetsuo smiled back, "Night." Matthias then turned his back to the wolf and Tetsuo turned over as well.
In the middle of the night Tetsuo began to shake, so Matthias woke and put his hand on the other. Tetsuo sat up quickly and looked at him. Matthias watched as the wolf's face scrunched up as if he was going to cry, so he moved the blanket and his arm, motioning for the other.
Tetsuo moved over and held onto the smaller male. "I'm sorry I do this to you like every night." Tetsuo whispered.
"Go to sleep, kid." Matthias chuckled. "I'm three years older than you." "Shh." Tetsuo let out a small laugh before closing his eyes as Matthias put an arm around him.
"You need to go back to them. It's obviously still hurting you." Matthias finally said in the silence.
"I can't. What..what will Karlheinz do? What if they don't even want me back? I —"
"We can cover for you. And I'm sure they'll have you back. If anything, just come back here for the monthly visit. We'll be okay." Tetsuo was silent at this.
"I'll tell the others in the morning.""Here, and make sure you eat this! I swear if you come back and you're still skinny as hell !" Grandma glared at Tetsuo as he stood at the door.
He rolled his eyes slightly. "Okay, okay." He laughed before waving at the others behind her. Matthias walked through to give the wolf a hug. "I hope it all works out." He said with a smile.
Tetsuo returned the hug and smile before transforming into a wolf. He let Yuno put the bag they prepared him around his neck. He let out a little bark then ran out of the door.
"God, I pray he'll be okay." Yuno whispered, watching as the wolf ran off into the woods.
