Tetsuo frowned as he pulled the frilly band back up his thigh and over one of the more noticeable bites. He then looked back in the bathroom mirror, staring at his bleeding shoulder.
"You really are horrible with time management." Tetsuo turned around with a questioning look, before blushing. Yui stood before him, in an elegant red dress that had a slit halfway up her right thigh. Her hair was pulled up into a bun and she showed off seemingly new jewelry and lipstick.
Tetsuo practically felt naked, realizing his attire was more revealing than Yui's even. Regardless, she looked stunning and she'd definitely matured since he 'left'. She almost looked years older than him.
"I just couldn't get the bleeding to stop." Tetsuo admitted, looking at his shoulder to make sure blood wasn't staining his dress. He couldn't let that happen at a party full of vampires.
"I'm aware. It was bothering Reiji." She said bluntly. "Sit down. Don't get your whore dress dirty." She mocked, rolling her eyes. She grabbed a cloth, amongst other things, and cleaned up the bite on his shoulder. When she was done, she put nothing to cover it, simply because she wanted the wolf to be pestered throughout the night by vampires, and because it would heal eventually.
Yui made a mental note to watch Tetsuo at the party, just to see him tormented by people much bigger and more powerful than him.
The girl moved away and looked at the wolf as he stared blankly at his hands. This wasn't like him. He wouldn't be sitting in a dress, legs crossed politely, a pout on his face. Normally, he would be in a dress, but he'd be a blushing mess, holding one of the brothers' hand as he would introduce himself. He'd be putting a smile on everyone's face. But now he can't even put a smile on his own.
Not that Yui cared. Tetsuo's the one that left. He's the one that broke everyone's heart. He's the reason everything isn't like normal; why there's so much tension.
If he wasn't smiling, it didn't matter to her anymore. If he was crying, it wasn't her problem. If he was having trouble sleeping, she wasn't going to help him.
But if she had to be honest — she wanted to help him. She wanted it to be her problem. She wanted it to matter.
So I guess you could say .. she cared.

"G-Get up already! Reiji needed you over half an hour ago." Yui snapped, making Tetsuo flinch and scramble from his spot and out the door. Yui watched him before turning to the big mirror behind her.
"Ugh, I just did this make-up." She complained, batting her eyes to try and keep tears from falling.
Tetsuo, oblivious to Yui's tears, quickly left the bathroom and rushed downstairs, holding the skirt of his dress to keep it from bouncing up.
"Reiji, I apologi—" Tetsuo stopped when he saw the vampire already standing with a couple, dressed in fancy clothing and expensive looking jewelry; obviously wealthy vampires.
Reiji looked from the couple, giving Tetsuo a barely noticeable glare, before reaching out and grabbing Tetsuo's hand.
The vampires always held his hand when they introduced him to someone, but it never failed to make the wolf blush. His face went red as the couple looked down, yes — down, at him.
"This is Tetsuo. If you need assistance any time during the party, please do not hesitate to call for him. He'll hear you." Reiji said, giving a kind smile.
Tetsuo smiled at them, before bowing slightly.
"Aw, isn't this one cute. What did you pay?" The woman said, looking Tetsuo up and down.
"I'm afraid he was a gift from my father. Any business about Tetsuo would have to be taken up with him." Reiji replied. He always said that whenever someone asked about the wolf, because he knew no one would actually be able to get in immediate touch with Karlheinz.
Regardless of Reiji's words, people would often bid on Tetsuo or try to bribe the Sakamaki's for him. It once got a party stopped because Subaru and Ayato weren't having it. The brothers had to build their reputation back up and the albino and red-head were very much scolded by Tetsuo that night.
"That's a shame.. are you sure arrangements can't be made amongst yourselves?" The taller man questioned, raising an eyebrow at his wife's pleading face.
Tetsuo shifted uncomfortably, and to his surprise, Reiji turned to him. "Go fetch them something to drink while I discuss business with them."
The wolf nodded and quickly bowed before going towards the kitchen. He wasn't sure if Reiji knew how happy he was to get out of that situation, but he was thankful.
Reiji knew. He always knew Tetsuo was uncomfortable when people talked about him, so he sent him to the kitchen, even for just a little time.
The vampire turned to the couple, giving them a fake smile. "Not only would that have to be discussed with my brothers, but my father would need to be present as well. I'm afraid he hasn't planned a visit this month." He said, getting angrier the longer the couple disapproved.
He wasn't angry so much that they were trying to take Tetsuo; but more so he was just annoyed by their way of thinking. That money could just be used to dismiss any little thing that seemed to be in their way of getting what they want.
Or maybe he was angry that they wanted his— I mean, the wolf. "It seems more guests are arriving. I'm sorry but this conversation must wait. Tetsuo should be back soon with your drinks." Reiji finally said, leaving the stuck-up couple and moving to another well-known vampire family.
Tetsuo came back to the couple, carrying their drinks on a small tray. "Here you are." He smiled, starting to turn away, until the man grabbed his shoulder.
"What is it about you? They really seem to not want to give you up." The man pondered to his wife.
"What, aren't you just their little pet?" The woman hissed, angry from the conversation with Reiji. Tetsuo didn't even know how to respond as they continued to throw questions at him whilst sipping their wine.
From afar, two vampires watched the scene. Though both oblivious to the others spying, they wanted to intervene. Neither one of them liked the way the woman was grabbing at his hand or looking him up and down.
At Tetsuo's obvious frustration, they couldn't take it.
"Tetsuo." Laito and Kanato both said, catching the couple and the wolf's attention. The brothers looked at each other, then back at Tetsuo who was bowing apologetically.
Regardless, they were relieved when Tetsuo started to walk over. Half way, he stopped, looking from one brother to the other and not knowing who to walk to as they weren't near each other.
Noticing his confusion, Laito walked over towards Kanato, motioning for Tetsuo. He followed and stood in between the two, thankful but confused.
"Did you both need something?" He asked, looking for any certain emotion on either one of their faces, and only finding they were clearly annoyed.
"You just seemed frustrated. We wouldn't want you to be in a bad mood while helping the guests." Laito finally said.
"Try not to stick around one couple too long." Kanato said, giving the wolf then his brother a small glare, before walking off. Tetsuo nodded slightly before looking up at Laito.
"Was that it?" He mumbled; this being the most they've spoken to each other in a while. Laito only looked at him, trying to find his words but getting lost in the wolf's familiar features.
When he saw Tetsuo start to smile, he looked away. "This man over here needed something to drink. Let me introduce you, then hurry and get what he needs." Laito said, trying to sound stern, though it wasn't working.
Laito looked at Tetsuo's hand, hesitating to grab it. But he finally did. And he really missed that.
The vampire led them to the confused looking man. "This here is Tetsuo. He'll help you with your drinks." Laito said, giving a faltering smile.
The man smirked down at Tetsuo before telling him what he wanted. The wolf bowed in response before going off to retrieve the drink.
Laito watched him as he walked off, his tail swaying and his ears twitching from picking up so many sounds. Laito turned away before it would become awkward to the man next to him.
Laito started a very short conversation with the man, before saying he needed to take a breather outside the mansion; just as Tetsuo was coming back. The red-head waved slightly before walking away, staring at his hand.

He hadn't wanted to let go of Tetsuo's hand. If only he'd realized why he shouldn't have let go.
