Their father 'Minato Namikaze' was the Police Commissioner of Konoha. Due to his efforts peace was always prevalent in Konoha. He was greatly respected by everyone. In a span of ten years, he had managed to make a tremendous improvement in his post as a police officer. He was the youngest Police Commissioner of Konoha. Minato was smart, kind, handsome, and understanding. He was greatly respected by his colleagues. Not only was he a perfect husband but also an excellent father to two kids. He never believed in old customs or rituals of keeping a woman in a constrained environment. Minato happened to be the heir of the 'Namikaze' clan whose members in the days of their ancestors were known for their speed.

Their mother 'Kushina Uzumaki' on the other hand was the 'Medicinal herb expert' of Konoha. Her knowledge in the field of medicine enabled her to treat any kind of illness. She was beautiful. A doting mother and a perfect wife. The only problem was that she was a bit violent. Whenever she became angry her red long hair would rise up in the air in the form 9 tail like strands. Even Minato was afraid of her. Kushina happened to be the heir of the 'Uzumaki' clan whose members were known for their knowledge of medicinal herbs. Kushina only showed her anger when Minato and Naruko tried to act cool and didn't worry about their own health. She used to often say "like father like daughter". Minato used to counter this statement saying "don't forget that Naruto is like your tail, he follows you everywhere". That was true indeed, for the 3-year-old- Naruto used to follow Kushina everywhere.

They were an ordinary happy family or that is what it looked like. Minato had the power of teleportation and Kushina had monstrous strength. Kushina had taught Naruko the art of brewing a medicine that could heal anyone who was dying provided that it was not too late. Naruko also had the power to heal anyone with a touch. The problem was that her power was not refined yet. Also, she could only heal physical injuries through it. The time that is taken to heal a person also depended on the severity of the injury and the patient's willpower. Naruto had inherited his father's ability of teleportation and had the power of telepathy.
Naruto and Naruko were given a crystal necklace each which would glow when either of them was in trouble and turn a shade of dull blue when they were feeling sad and lonely. Their parents said that the necklaces symbolized their love, worries, and concerns for them. They said that whenever they felt lonely a touch of the crystals would make them feel the warmth of their love. They had warned them to not remove the crystal necklace at any cost.
