I jogged back into the dining room and passed the bowl to ben, he set it down then started to pull out the declaration. I pulled out my gloves and slipped them on, I moved some of the stuff out of the way when they gently put the declaration down on the garbage bag covered table.

"looks like animal skin, how old is it?" Gramps said looking in from the doorframe

"at least 200 years" Ben responded

"really, are you sure?"

"pretty darn sure"

"now if it is invisible ink how do we look at it?" Riley asked

I started thinking but gramps spoke up

"throw it in the oven"

"NO" seemingly we said all at once

"I don't think that's an options gramps" I added

"well for self-fade ink the ink is only going to be brought out with heat"

"well but this is... Abby started out " is very old, it's very old, we can't risk compromising the map" Ben interrupted her

gramps started to walk away "you need a reagent," he said

"dad it's really late why don't you get some rest" Ben called out

"I'm fine"

I chuckled a little but Ben snapped me out when he asked for the lemons that I passed to him.

Ben took a lemon out of the bowl and was about to squeeze it but Abby grabbed his wrist, stopping it.

"you cant do that"

"but it has to be done" Ben stated

"than someone who is trained to handle antique documents is going to do it"   Abby insisted

"ok," he said

ha handed the lemon to Abby

"ok, now if there is a secret message it will probably be marked by a symbol in the upper right-hand corner"

she took a Q-tip and rubbed it with the lemon. we all learned in

"I am so getting fired for this"

she rubbed the Q-tip on the corner. we all waited for a couple of seconds.....nothing

gramps broke the silentious moment

" I told you need heat"

we all looked at each other then Ben and Abby bent down to the Declaration and breathed on it. faintly a small symbol showed up on the corner

"see," Gramps said,

"guys it worked!"I smirked
