Katniss P.O.V.

It's been a couple of weeks since our last hospital visit. Peeta stays at home more often with Riley while I go out and hunt. One day, when I came back from hunting, I walked into the house and Riley was talking. I was so happy. Peeta had the happiest look in his eyes. We were both so proud. Now, Riley is walking and talking! I am snapped out of my thoughts when Peeta starts talking to me. He rolls over in bed and we are chest to chest. Almost, at least.

"So, Katniss...Do you know what tomorrow is?"

"Uummm....," I think for a minute, "Wednesday?" I respond.

"Nooo - well, yes. But something more important," he tells me.

"Ooohhh!! I know. Tomorrow is the day that we got married. Our anniversary!"

"Correct," he says, "And I have a surprise for you."

"Peeta," I moan, "You know I'm no big fan of surprises."

"But this is something special!! Come on...Please!?!?"

"Alright." How could I say 'no?' He sounded like a child asking for candy.

We get up and get dressed. Then I walk across the hall to Riley's room and pick him up. He is such a happy baby and he almost never cries. I change his diaper and dress him in new clothes. When I am finished with that, I carry him downstairs for breakfast.

The day goes by pretty fast. Same routine. Wake up, get ready, get Riley up and ready, breakfast, hang out, lunch, maybe take a walk in the park, dinner, then bed. Nothing really ever changes.

The next day, I roll over in bed to face what I thought would be Peeta, but just a cold and empty side of the bed. Then I remember that today is our first anniversary. I get up and take a really quick shower then I get dressed and head downstairs. I don't hear or see Peeta or Riley anywhere. This causes me to start panicking. I run upstairs to Riley's room but I don't find them up there. I'm worried like crazy now. I'm just about to head back downstairs when I hear the front door open. I turn my head slightly and I can see that it was Peeta who opened the door. I feel a ginormous wave of relief pass over me. I run downstairs and jump into Peeta's arms.

"Babe? Where's Riley?" I ask.

"Oh-Um...We don't need to worry about him today."

"What does that supposed to mean?" I say with a grin.

"It means," he says while walking over to me, "That today we have the day to ourselves," he tells me, wrapping his arms around my waist.

"Oh really?"

Peeta starts to kiss my neck and I begin to moan. He then picks me up and he pins a me against the wall. Now my legs are wrapped around his waist and my lips are crashing against his.

"Is this the surprise you told me about yesterday?" I ask.

"Maybe it is...or maybe it's not," he answers.

Soon, we are ripping off each other's clothing and he is carrying me up the stairs, bridal style. We finally make it to our bed and things get crazy. When everything settles down, I lay next to Peeta and just listen to his heartbeat. And with the rhythm, I slowly fall asleep.
