I'm sorry this chapter took so long I haven't had anything to write about, sorry. This is sadly the last chapter of The Youngest of Them All, but on the bright side, I hope to write a sequel soon. But I've been wanted to write a new story for a while so I've decided to bring this one to an end. I've really enjoyed writing and I hope you all have enjoyed reading it. So onto the last chapter.

Zach P.O.V.

"Zach wake up," I hear Carter say as he pushes my side with his foot. I let out a groan and roll over onto my side with my back to him.

"Come on, Zach, the King wants to meet us now and I don't want to be late," Carter says. I can hear him walking around the tent getting ready to head out, Jasper was up too but wasn't saying anything. I pushed myself off the ground and rubbed the sleep from my eyes, I stretched my arms before finally standing up.

"Get dressed and grab your sword," Carter says grabbing his bow and quiver full of arrows. Once they left the tent I was ready and put my sword in it's sheath which was hanging around my waist. I walk out of the tent and jog to catch up to Jasper and Carter, Jasper had a look of determation on his face.

"You okay Jasp?" I ask as I fall in step with him.

"I'm fine..." I raise an eyebrow at his response," I just have a bad feeling about this whole assignment. Like it's going to end badly... really badly..."

"Don't think that way alright, we'll all make it home," I say before entering the King's tent. The King paced the length of the tent, looking in deep thought. Carter, Jasper and I lined up with our backs straight and eyes focused on him. He finally stopped pacing and looked the three of us with a remorseful look on his face.

"You know that it is very rarely that I chose boys of your age to come into my army, but Christina and Zara say that you are the best in your unit." I see that a surprised look come onto Carter's face. "This is purely a recon mission in and out without anyone knowing your even there... You won't  need your armor if you do this correctly," he says.

"Now go!" He exclaims we rushed out of the tent but not before I heard him mumble to himself. I jump on my horse that had been saddled up along with Carter's and Jasper's horses. We start to gallop through the woods toward the fort, after a while we get off the horses and tie the reins to a tree that was far enough away from the fort that they wouldn't seen or heard.

We walk the rest of the way on foot till we reached a hill that was covered in trees, tall grass, and prickly bushes. We stayed down as we descended down the hill, Jasper and Carter had their bows draw, ready to fire at any enemy threat that might come. I had a hand rested on the hilt of my sword also ready to defend myself if needed.

Once we got to the bottom of the hill we took cover, Carter and Jasper behind a bush and myself behind a tree. I peered out from behind the tree and look at the entrance of the fort, there were no guards and the strong wooden doors were wide open. I looked over at Jasper and Carter in confusion. "The gates are wide open," I whisper to them.

"I see that," Carter says scanning the area.

"We should go see what's inside," I breathe Jasper whips his head around to look at me.

"Are you insane, our job is to observe and report back, not to venture in and get spotted," he whispers angrily at me.

"I know, but from what I can see no one is near the entrance, so the likely hood of getting caught is slim."

"It's probably a-" Carter starts to say but I was already headed through the foliage to the fort trying not to be seen. Once I reach the fort's entrance I pulled out my sword ready to strike if anyone tried to surprise me. I quietly walked into the courtyard staying close to the wall as I went, there was nobody here. I quickly make my way deeper into the fort down the halls and through the rooms, but as far as I could see there was no one here. I walked into bigger room, it was a lot like the King's tent, it had a large table with a map in the middle showing the positions of their armies and ours. My eyes widen as I realize something... there was a spy in our mists. There was no way they could have all this information without one.
