So about this hipster band-

Recently I've been getting into Twenty One Pilots

Regional at Best is the best album fight me

No but really, Blurryface is the popular one (Ride, Heathens, Stressed Out) and it's honestly a terrible first impression. Go listen to Forest or Kitchen Sink or something

What strikes me about all these songs though is that they seem depressing and emo at first glance but there's a thread of hope woven into them.

It's the very definition of art, someone expressing their emotions and story in a way that will make a positive impact on the world.

...

Here, let me use Forest as an example:

I scream, you scream, we all scream
'Cause we're terrified of what's around the corner
We stay in place
'Cause we don't want to lose our lives
So let's think of something better

Down in the forest
We'll sing a chorus
One that everybody knows

It's basically saying that yes, the world/society sucks, but we as people have the power to come together and fix it.

Now, I haven't read any official analysis or stuff like that so don't take me too seriously.

Just wanted to shine a light on this ukelele rock duo

Wow I've been reading too many Tumblr posts
