Kendall stood in the open hallway that broke off into three pathways all leading to a different part of the castle. He stared out at the rain as he gripped the edge of the side table. He felt so alone, yet to his knowledge Jo was in one of the rooms directly behind him. Lucy and Santana were down in the kitchen. The day had been so sad, so lonesome. He wanted to call up James but something told him they weren't really friends anymore. Logan had his own career and never returned a phone call.
Cody had yet to come back and that worried all of them. Zack hadn't woken up since earlier. They suspect he is in some sort of coma. those things wont last in a place like this. His medicare doesn't work over here. Sam and Blaine had tried to leave but their credit cars had been canceled. The night they arrived they must have used them to buy alcohol without thinking to call their banks. Lucy offered to let them stay a while longer.
Kendall didn't love Jo. Not anymore. It had been far too long. The sun would set in a while. He wouldn't be able to see it because of the rain. It was pouring out there. He saw in the reflection of the window a person looking back at him. He turned to see that no one was there. Though something in those eyes were very familiar.
After a few moments of him simply staring at nothing he heard a door creek open. Then out of her boudoir stepped Jo in a long silky pink nightgown with white trimmings. She had her hair down and her face bare. Approaching him she rest her arms against the wood of the window sill. Her eyes drifting over to him she had a deep sadness discoursing her spheres. He gave her a half smile. "You know Lucy's grandmother died in this house. In doing so she took a story to her grave." Jo furrowed a brow with her teasing remark. "Yeah? How would you know that?" He asked her.
She pressed her back against the wall and sighed. "This place holds secrets... also online there is a ton of controversy about this place. Some claim it has been haunted since the mysterious death of her lover back when she was in her twenties. Writers claim there was another man she was in love with but she was forced to marry this sick monster." She laughed as though nothing she said were serious. She merely wanted to talk with Kendall. She cared for him so.
"Her lover was in the war." Said Lucy in her Red gown. She stood in the open frame of one of the hallways to the left of the large windows. Up against the wall she propped herself with a cigarette between her fingers. "Terrence..." she said. "They were in love before he left. Though he was gone for so long... when he came back neither of them were the same." She got a little closer and rested her head upon Jo's shoulder. Jo ran her fingers through Lucy's hair. "He was broken... mentally. Their child had died shortly after his return... here in this house. Their only son. Suicide." As she placed her hands around Jo's waist the two made eye contact. "Terrence had gotten abusive, he had panic attacks quite often and he didn't find out for a while that she had been in an affair long before he got back."
"Capernicus." The evil sound of Santana's voice from down the hall directly behind him. She wore a black lace up dress cut off at the thighs. With a gasp Lucy turned to see her cousin. "You didn't think granny only told you her stories." Santana walked up and slipped her fingers onto Lucy's snagging the cigarette and putting it between her own lips. "My grandfather was myth, no one talked about him for he made the family look... drab. He loved Matilda, the two of them had very magical adventures in this castle. Though he discovered Terrence's dark secret. Down below in cellars, a vast maze, he had been keeping prisoners. making prime cuts prior to letting them bleed out. Then taking them off property and displaying them in the trees to make it look like an animal had gotten to them."
"That is an old wise tale that uncle Venus used to tell you to scare you because he didn't like your father." Lucy wiped a tear away from her face.
"The wise tale was you." Santana laughed. "The fact that your mother had been born from Terrence. See Matilda, our grandmother, had been seeing Capernicus long before Terrence ever went to the war. Our blood..." she ashed the cigarette in the potted plant upon the side table. "is thicker than you presumed." Santana placed her hands upon a picture of her grandmother than hung on the wall. "Also... Henry didn't die... He got away... He is down in Greece, alive and well. Never married, nor did he have any children."
Lucy knew better. She had played with the boy's spirit a time or two down these halls. She knew a dead boy when she saw one. Capernicus had fathered Olivia Stone, Lucy's mother and Mariebel Lopez, Santana's mother. Terence had only one child with Matilda. When Matilda killed Terrence with his own weapon one night after he had lost his wits, their true child was sent away for the murder. "This place is haunted." Santana looked at Jo. "by a creature you have a lot in common with." With that she turned on her heel and walked away.
By now the darkness had taken over the land. Lucy removed her self from Jo and looked out the window. "Cody should have been back by now... also i suspect Jessie should return from her vacation soon." With a deep sigh she fogged up the glass.
Jessie had came back that morning. She returned a little surprised to see that Eriq wasn't there. His car was parked out by the stables where it usually was, she gathered her things and locked her car. Walking across the pavement to the front door. She noticed that Zack was not out with Daphnee. He did that every morning just as Cody cleaned the staircase every morning. Cody wasn't their either. She toted her luggage all the way up to her room and closed the door locking it behind her. She dug her wallet and her keys out of her pocket as well as her cell phone and tossed them onto the bed. Then turned to walk into her bathroom.
She turned on the water at the sink and splashed it across her face. She was absolutely tired. With her long sandy blonde hair pulled back she removed the tie and let it fall to her waist. She began to undress down to her bra and panties and pulled back the curtain to scream but no sound came out. It was Eriq. He sat in a shower chair with pieces of flesh cut out of his body, he was still alive. "I didn't want you seeing that." Carlos' voice came from the open bathroom door. "no one told me you were coming back today." She was shaking in fear. He got nearer to her and she backed away. He pulled the curtain shut. The devil was in his eyes as he looked her body up and down. He wasn't sexualizing her, he was hungry.
