Jo Taylor was down in the ballroom. Little mix's "Secret Love Song" was playing on the loud speakers. She waltzed around and came to a halt when she saw James standing in the doorway. He wore a tuxedo and he held a rose in one hand and a bottle of sparkling grape juice in the other. She turned around placing her hands on the table and sighing.
Walking up next to her he placed the bottle on the flattop. He took her hand and placed the stem between the bite of his teeth. Pulling her out onto the floor Jason Derulo's voice filling the void. They spun and twirled and she stared into those co coa eyes of his. She felt him dip her and pull her up to his face and she pressed her face to his. When her eyes reopened she was alone. There was no bottle on the flat top. She was alone.
Sighing she left the ballroom to find that the hallway was empty. Darkness was everywhere. She felt something here... something evil. She ran her hand long the wall and her fingertips grazed something wet. She brought it to her nose and sniffed it, metal. She furrowed her brow and brought it to her lips. It was blood.
She stifled her breath and backed up. her body collided with a figure and she turned around to see a hooded figure. screaming, she barreled down the hallway and for the front door. She came to a dead stop seeing James body surrounded by a red puddle. She knelt down the song still playing and she sank her knees into the thick red matter her dress becoming stained.
The lights flashed on and her friends were all gathered on the staircase. She looked back at Carlos and Kendall. Lucy came ascending down the staircase slowly and dramatically almost to the beat of the song. Blaine and Sam coming from the kitchen and Santana peeping her head through the door after puffing on a cigarette. She looked down at the empty tile in front of her and Jo shook vehemently.
Kendall knelt down beside her wrapping a blanket around her. She was in a cold sweat and smelt of alcohol. He helped her to her feet and walked her up the stairs. Giving the others a look that said 'be respectful.' Any one of them could have suffered the same. He got her into her room and laid her down.
When he returned he discovered the others were talking. They had not seen what she had seen. She didn't even say anything, how could they just make assumptions. Though they all knew what he didn't, her affair with James. A secret they all vowed to keep, though to tell you the truth... they all wanted that bitch dead.
Lucy had no clue but the moment word got to her she felt her blood boiling. Lucy had never been the jealous type but she deeply cared about Kendall. Despite the fact that they had not been together at the time Jo was still married, and to have cheated on your husband with your exes best friend was kind of... concerning.
Carlos glared at his friends for being so heartless. Turning on his heel he made his way towards the basement to the lower level. The spiral staircase down a tower that opened onto a bar. across the room was the entrance to a gym and behind him was a door into a man cave. Violet and velvet chairs in a dimly lit room and fridges with champagne. He sat down in one of the chairs and peered out the other door that stretched to an opening. That opening leading to the patio out front where a number of weddings have occurred throughout the centuries.
He popped open a bottle and swigged it pressed the back of his skull against the padding on the back of the chair. His eyes drifted shut. He felt a warmth enter his body. He knew he wasn't asleep but he felt that jolt that slipped in right before you were about to drift away. He looked around to see that the lights that were on just outside the cave were now off, apart from one that seemed to be flickering. He stepped out and looked to the center of the room. A fire.
He got closer to see that it wasn't just a fire, it was a body. He knelt down to see who it was. Had he really fallen asleep? He saw something he recognized and backed away running to the bar. He pulled the chord that sprayed the coke products and pressed the water button dousing the flames until they dissipated. He returned to the mans side and saw that, behind the burn marks, it was Logan. He cried out and pulled the body closer to him crying into his chest.
"Carlos." The voice making the Latino shiver. He pulled back to see the eyes were open and staring at him. He simply stared with his breath moving steadily. Carlos felt hands pressing against his breast plate, then he was sent flying across the room. His back colliding with metal he hit the ground and cried out in pain. His head was throbbing and he struggled to his feet but it was to no avail. He peered up at this ghostly figure that proceeded to walk over to the bar.
Carlos felt like he was walking the green mile. He watched, terrified, as Logan pulled open a drawer and removed a sharp blade and a thick fork. He slowly approached Carlos and sat down. The Latino couldn't move, the pain was sincere. He stared wide eyed as Logan sank the blade into the flesh of his own calf. The look in the paler boys face was what astonished Litos the most. His best friend had the devil in his eyes. Logan continued to flay his own leg pulling pieces of flesh up to his own mouth to grind the meat between his teeth and making a gross sound he swallowed the disgusting matter.
Carlos started screaming but Logan grabbed his head and pulled it backwards to fork flesh past his friends plump lips. The Latinos fear enveloped him as he ate Logan's leg. He saw stars and tears fell from his ducts. Logan unsheathed the blade from his own thigh and brought the sharp metal up to Carlos' face. Running the point across his adorable friends jaw he revved back and cut his own throat bleeding out in front of his delicate friend.
He bolted awake in the velvet chair. Looking over at the clock it read: 2:39, It was already the next day. He shuffled to his feet and made his way up the staircase and back into the main hall. He entered the kitchen to find that Cody was already up. "Good morning." Carlos rubbed his eyes. The blonde looked back at the Latino and gave a sheepish half grin. He shut the door to reveal his twin brother Zack who had been standing beside the fridge. Cody, with a bottle of orange juice in his hand walked over to the island in the center of the room and poured himself a glass. Zack smiled at the Latino and pressed the back of his hand to his forehead.
"You look a tad ill." Said Zachary. Receiving nothing more than a shrug from the caramel colored boy. "I could have sworn you were a tad darker the first time we met." Cody shook his head n agreement at the comment as he bit into a piece of toast, refraining from speaking. "A nightmare..." Carlos said rather harshly as he opened the fridge and pulled out some left over turkey. He didn't even heat it up he just bit into the flesh shutting his eyes like a crow devouring something that was still half alive. He pulled the leg from his lips and smiled at his friends.
