Dahvie's P.O.V

-

I trudged through the empty dim-lit hall, cursing at myself.

I fell asleep in in Science class. So now I was going to be joining the guys in the locker room. Yay, I'm probably going to get my gead shoved in a tiolet. Lucky me!

I sighed. I've thought about ditching, but then again, I don't want to be caught by a security guard and cause Beth trouble.. she's letting me live under her roof after all.

 Maybe if I'm quick enough...

I oened the door, hearing the chatter and laughter of deep voices filling the room. I bit my lips, trying to slip past unnoticed, but failed.

"Heyyy! Vanity!"

I suddenly felt an arm wrap around my shoulder and I held in my cries of help, being pulled into a side. I looked up, seeing someone that looked kind of familiar, "Uh... yeah?"

He blinked, as if he were hurt, "It's me! Fernando!"

I blinked, "Oh," I gave an awkward smile, shrugging out of his hold, "Whatcha need?"

He shrugged, acting nonchalant as he headed for his locker, gesturing for me to follow him. I slipped past all the people before reaching him, feeling confused. If I remember correctly, he was probably the worst to me..

"Where have you been? How have you been doing?" He asked, raising his brow at me as he started to put some deoderant on.

"Not to be rude dude, but... why do you care?" I asked out of pure curiosity. Why was he being nice all of a sudden?

He shrugged, "Just curious. And I saw your moves on the court on Tuesday, not bad."

I felt my face get hot. When I was last here, and because I was missing my brothers so much, I ditched last period and went to the gymnasium and just started to shoot random hoops... I didn't think anyone was watching me though.

"Thanks..." I sighed, finally deciding to answer his question, "I moved to Brookline."

He raised his brow at me, tugging a loose white t-shurt over his head, "Is that so? Why are you back here then?"

"I kind of got suspended and sent here.." I muttered, a small smile tilting on my lip of the memory of Kiara's face with the spider guts on it, "Me and my friends did a prank, and it didn't end good, so I took the blame."

"We got a trouble maker then, huh?" He snickered at me.

I rolled my eyes, "Why does everyone say that?..."

"Hey, now that I think about it.." He said, shutting his locker and leaned against it, looking at me, "I think I've seen you walking on Brookline Blvd once."

I raised my brow, "Really? Who was I with?"

He thought for a second, "Well, you were holding hands with some tall person with black hair, and there were a lot of people around you guys, and you were all talking about something funny, because you kept laughing."

I blinked. "Yup, that was me."

"Five minutes! Get dressed!" Coach suddenly barked, making me look over to see he was walking out to the gym.

I sighed, turning my gaze back on Fernando, giving a small smile, "Hey, tell me the truth. Why are you being so nice all of a sudden?"

He stopped for a second but just shrugged, closing the locker, "I honestly don't know. I haven't tormented anyone since you left, so I guess I just can't anymore."
