Jayy's P.O.V

-

This was intense.

Dahv's slapped Tavon's hands again and he bit his lip, smacking his in return.

Like I was, everyone was the lunch table (including two tables back since the echoes of them slapping each other was so loud) watched as he looked at him smugly, bringing his hands down. Hard.

"Ah, shit!" He gasped pulling his hands in to look at them, pouting as if he were a little kid, "Fuck you, I give up."

Yes, they were playing hot hands.

"Yes!" he fist pumped the air (which was tainted red since it got slapped so many times) as our friends started to laugh around us.

He giggled, rubbing his hands together, "My hands are soft,"

"Probably because all the dead skin was removed since he slapped them so hard," Mason said, shaking his head at us.

I smiled before resting my head on my arms. I was still slightly sick, my head hurts, and the loud chatter of the cafeteria wasn't really helping it. I sighed through my mouth, hating my stuffy nose.

I wanted to go home and watch Supernatural.

"Only two more hours babe," I felt a arm snake around my shoulders, and I scooted a bit so we were closer.

I groaned, "I knew this was a bad idea."

"After this we're going to have our Supernatural night with Mason and Santi. It'll be fun," He rubbed my arm, giving me a little bit of comfort, "And Beth comes home tomorrow, it'll be okay,"

I nodded woodenly. I was glad mum was coming back- I needed someone to talk to.

Dahvie has been leaving more and more recently.

He says he needs to return library books (he was actually a big bookworm), or get something from the store, or some other lame excuse.

I'm not accusing him of anything- hell, if I thought he was cheating, I would've called him out on it, but I know him. He wouldn't do that.

But, I just wanted to talk to mum about everything besides the Santi  thing, she's got enough to stress about. Just ugh, gag me with a spoon.

When the bell rang, I mindlessly got up and followed them out the door like a walking corpse.

"Are you alright?"

I looked up, a bit surprised when I saw Mr. Baker's concerned gaze. I sighed and shrugged, "Yeah, I just feel like crap,"

"Do you need to go to the nurse?"

I shook my pounding head and smiled at him, "No. I'll be okay,"

"So," he started as we made our way outside to our classroom, "What has been happening with Dahvie? I try to call his mother sometimes but she never answers. I tried to ask him, but he just stayed quiet."

I sighed. I've actually been expecting this question, "He's..." I looked over to see Dahv's giggling at something Mari said before looking back at my teacher, "He's been through hell. His mother.. got killed in a house fire this summer, and he saw her right before they took her body."

He blinked in shock, "So that's why he lives with you?"

I furrowed my brow at him, "How did you know he lived with me?"

He smiled, "I'm your teacher, I'm supposed to know all contact information,"

"Well, yeah. That's why he lives with me. Two of his brothers live with his stepdad in Florida and two others live down here," I bit my lips, turning my gaze to the floor, speaking my thoughts out loud without really meaning too, "He is so special. He deserves more,"
