A Quest of the Heart

Chapter 2

 No One's Pov:

After they had gotten Cuphead into bed, everyone had gone downstairs. Bendy Sat at the table with his head in his hands, trying not to cry. The others stood around the table, not speaking. No one said anything for quite a while. "B-Bendy, are you okay?" Boris was getting worried. Bendy looked up and at his family. Finally, he tried to speak. "H-he..." Bendy took a deep breath, "has the Inkness too." Everyone looked away, all too upset to say more.

Cuphead's Pov:

  At dinner, Cuphead came down. "Hey, Cup how ya feeling?" Bendy gave him a warm greeting. Cuphead smiled at Bendy, causing him to blush, " Much better now. Thanks, Bends." Cuphead got his dinner and sat down. The nightly chatter went as smoothly as the morning's. Cuphead noticed Bendy kept glancing worriedly at him throughout the meal. After dinner, everyone else went upstairs. Cuphead called Bendy back. He figured now was as good a time as any to tell him his feelings. "Yeah, Cuppy? I-I mean Cup!" Bendy blushed deeply.  

Cuphead blushed as well. Finally, he decided on starting with the problem. "B-Bendy... We both have the Inkness now... W-we both could die any day... I-I don't want to die." 'At least not you too," Cuphead hung his head. Bendy grabbed a chair, stood on it, and cupped Cuphead's head in his hands. His hands felt so soft on Cuphead's face. "Cuppy... We will find the Ink Machine. For both of us. We won't-"Bendy was cut off. Cuphead's lips had met his. Cuphead wrapped his arms around Bendy, deepening the kiss. After a minute, Bendy kissed back. Finally, Cuphead pulled away, smiling. "You l-love me?" Bendy asked, surprised. Cuphead nodded, blushing. "Why do you think I call you 'Bends' all the time. Bendy realized this nickname he had hated for so long was meant as a love hint. Bendy blushed, wishing he hadn't been so clueless. Again, they kissed and pulled away. "G-goodnight, Cu-Cuppy." Bendy shakily turned and walked up the stairs. "Goodnight, Bends," Cuphead sighed in contentment.
