Chapter 18

Bendy's Pov:

"How long have you been married?" Bendy looked up, startled. He realized the nurse who was tending his wounds had seen him playing with his ring. "Oh, um... A few months." Bendy said, absentmindedly. She smiled. "Are you two happy together?" Bendy nodded. "I couldn't imagine being happy with anyone else." He winced as she tightened the bandage around his leg. "Oh, sorry! And, um, sorry for butting in, but how did you two meet?" Bendy didn't mind talking about him and Cuphead. Anything to keep his mind from wandering. "Well, originally, we hated each other. We fought and argued a lot and he chased me many times-" "Oh, you're a gay couple! He sound like an interesting man." Bendy felt slightly annoyed. "Anyway... One day, he attempted to kill us-my brother and I-and shot his brother by mistake. After that, he attempted to kill himself. I stopped him and reunited him with his brother. When we saw them again, they wanted to be our friends. At first, we were unsure but they've proved they're truly caring. Only a mere few months ago, he kissed me and told me how he felt. After that, we stayed together and then married. He even helped me fix my relationship with my dad." The nurse finished up his bandages. "Wow, you two have had it rough. I'm glad everything worked out, though." "Thanks." Bendy got up and limped out of the hospital room

(Flashback)

  The Cup brothers fired. The devil deflected the shots, one hitting Bendy in the leg. "AGH!" Bendy fell grabbing his leg. The other shot had hit Cuphead in his arm. "Bendy!" Cuphead spun back around and fired at the devil. The devil had been caught off guard and didn't have time to deflect. The shot hit him right in the middle of his head. The devil fell to the ground, his face singed. He was dead. Cuphead ran to Bendy. "H-hey, Bends! You'll be okay... You'll be okay."

(Back to present time)

Cuphead's Pov:

Bendy came into the waiting room, a nurse trailing him. Cuphead had his arm in a sling and he could see Bendy's leg was wrapped up. "Well, we'll see how he does in a week's time." Bendy limped over to where Cuphead was. "Bends, you're limping." "Yeah, I know. Don't play captain obvious, Cuppy." "Sorry, babe." Suddenly, the nurse's face lit up. "Oh! You're his husband!" Bendy blushed. "How does she-" Bendy cut him off, "I told her." Cuphead shrugged. "And what if it gets worse before a week's time?" "Then bring him here right away." The nurse turned and walked away. Cuphead looked at Bendy. Bendy shrugged. "Strange nurse, huh?" "Yep."   

(Two days pass after Cuphead and Bendy leave the hospital)

Boris's Pov:

Bendy came down the steps. He's walking slower than yesterday. I think he's getting worse. "Hey, Bendy. How you feeling?" Bendy looked very tired. "I'm fine. Where's Cuppy?" "He went to the store." Felix stated plainly. "Oh." After everyone ate, Bendy went to get up and fell down. "B-Bendy! Are you okay?!" Bendy looked at Boris, then down at his leg. "I-I can't f-feel my l-leg..." Bendy said in almost a whisper. N-no... He's g-gonna be okay. Boris picked up his brother and ran out the door. Mickey, Oswald, and Felix followed. Everyone piled into the car and took off.

(Boris and the others make it to the hospital where they're told Bendy will lose his leg. Boris call Cuphead, telling him the news. Quickly, Cuphead drives to the hospital.)

Cuphead's Pov:

"I-I'm here!" Cuphead exclaimed as he burst through the hospital doors. Boris ran up to him and hugged him. "Oh, Cuphead! I... I don't know! How are we gonna handle this?!" Cuphead looked at the little wolf. He had tears streaming down his face. "W-we have to have the surgery done, Boris..." "But-" "Boris, I love him too. But if we don't do something, it'll only get worse. Bends has to lose his leg." Boris nodded sadly. He hates this as much as I do. Poor Boris. " Let's go tell the doctors."
