It's Sol/ Solomon my full name. I have no idea what's wrong with Phil but of course I drop it. I sit down on a bed and rub my temples. I have a really bad headache. The whole ship is gravitized so I don't get how I have a headache. It's probably from the bad feeling I have. It feels like something really really bad is going to happen. But anyways here I am sitting in the living quarters of the ship. I pull out the sticks I had found and pulse energy into them. The blades come to life with a slight hum. The energy in them is amazing I had used them the whole battle. I pulse energy into them again and the blades retract. Walking out of the living quarters I remember how empty the compound was. They were evacuating. I realize passing a bathroom door.
This is our first full day on the ship and we're almost at earth. Last night we passed Venus and we were all cheering and yelling. I sit down in a chair near the cockpit. The room I'm in is small with four chairs and two windows. I look out the window to my left. We're passing a large satellite which means we're in earth's atmosphere or the space around it. I feel happy like everyone else . The room I'm in is full of other kids cheering and whooping. "We're back !!!" Santiago yells. Santiago is a kid who can teleport and can fight like Bruce Lee . Then the ship starts to shake and my whole body bubbles over with nausea. The lights flicker as we enter earth's atmosphere . As soon as we enter the stratosphere there's an explosion to our left creating a giant hole. I grab onto a chair but some kids aren't as fortunate and fly out the hole.
The ship doesn't stop spinning and shaking and I vomit out my guts as we fall. I look around vomit is floating in the air and so are kids. I look forward and see an alien lizard. It opens its mouth and roars and tackles me. I hit the wall and elbow it in the temple. It has green scales yellow eyes and is wearing the same black armor as me. It roars again and smashes me through the ship wall. As I"m falling it tackles me again snapping it's elongated snout at me.The wind is out of me and I'm gasping for air. It roars as I grab it's jaws and pry them open. It flashes it's claw into my rib cage but I feel no pain. I push it's jaws farther apart spinning it so that it's falling toward's the ground not me. I push its jaws one more time and hear a snap. Maybe I broke it's jaw I don't know because seconds later we hit the ground with a thud and all it's bones are broken.
I lay back breathing heavily pain flaring through my legs and ribs. I close my eyes desperatley trying to calm the pain down or supress it. Not the landing I imagined but I made it I think smiling. A couple minute's later I look up at the night sky. It's a little cloudy but other than that it looks amazing with a giant full moon hanging overhead. I listen to the sounds around me trying not to move too much. I hear cricket's and other nocturnal animals. I look down at myself and see blood on my chest but it's brown and sticky. I vomit for about two minutes straight sick to my stomach.
After ten minutes I decide to stand using the tree behind me as a crutch. Bad idea. Pain takes me over like a storm and I collapse unto my back. I lay there again breathing so heavily you would think I had just ran a 5K. After twenty minutes I stand and feel the pain of healing. Usually when I heal it's a little more pain than when I first get hurt. I slowly hop forward through the forest. It's pretty cold compared to mercury which is no surprise. It takes me forty minutes to reach a road.
By then I'm somewhat in good condition. The road is empty reminding me of zombie movies. I walk down the road and see the first lights of dawn. I grin thinking about how long ago it had been when I had seen sunlight last. I was probably there for a while because when I move back to the side of the road Santiago is standing there along with Li and a couple others. "Finally someone else." Lucas says as I walk over. I grin and say "Welcome to earth".
