The training room is a large room with a cube in the middle. The cube is a small room with reinforced glass walls and padded floors. Me, Lucas, Ralph and Tom stand in the middle of the cube. "Today you will all learn hand to hand combat." My uncle says from where he stands in the crowd outside the cube. Eight androids are dropped into the cube. All of them are silver with crimson glowing eyes. They are about nine feet tall each and are built in leanly. "Spar bots engage." my uncle says. The androids immediately start attacking us. An android's fist flies towards my face. I dodge it and front flip over it's head. It's upper body spins around before I can attack it. I get a metal fist to the jaw sending me spiraling. I hit the floor and roll dodging an android's fist. I elbow it right in the stomach or midsection in it's case.
It stumbles backwards and I think that I have taken it out but then I get winded from my left side by another android. I hit the ground with a thud and the android is on top of me wrestling me down. I create blue energy on my fists and blast it outwards. The android flies into the air whats left of it's arms sparking as it hits a wall. Four more androids drop into the cube all around me. I kick one in the chest then throw it before another's fist. The android's fist tears straight through the one I'm holding's chest.
I take out the remaining two by smashing their heads together. I run over to where Tom is surrounded by ten android's. He is chucking toxic acid at their heads and feet. I jump unto the wall and spin kick two in the head. They go down quickly then are replaced by four more. "It's a group exercise!" my uncle calls out tapping more buttons on his tablet. Lucas runs over to where me and Tom stand thirty android's trailing him. Me and Tom fire energy and acid at them destroying a lot of them. Ralph tears through the middle of their crowd his hands formed into sword like spikes.
Lucas chucks a ball of golden energy before them blinding them. I blast them all with a nonstop barrage of energy while Tom drowns them in acid. Everyone in the crowd is whooping and cheering. "Good job." my uncle says as the ground beneath the destroyed androids opens up. The destroyed androids fall in then the ground reshapes. A rectangle of glass opens up allowing us to leave the cube. We walk out the cube and immediately my body feels lighter. My uncle sends in four more but I'm too exhausted to see who it is. I walk straight through the doors into the main room then to my room.
The fan is still on and it cools me as I walk in. I take off the armor then take a shower. The water is perfect and I nearly fall asleep but I hear a sound outside my room. I turn off the water dry myself then put on clothes. Then I stand by the door and listen. "Guard duty sucks." says a voice."It does but I usually like to think about the prize." says another voice. "Oh yea." the first voice says chuckling. I open my door and no one's there. But then I focus and hear the voices again "We'll kill all these alien kids." says the first voice now farther away. Alien kids? I wonder. I follow they're voices through the main room then through a door that leads into the cafeteria. I scan the room as I enter circular tables a buffet at the far left. and in the far right corner I see two guards whispering to each other. Neither of them are wearing helmets so I can see thier faces voice one was probably the tall bald guy with the scar running across his eye. Voice two was probably the smaller yet well muscled woman standing at his right. The woman had dark black hair and green eyes.
Then I feel a sharp pain push into my temples as I strain to hear them. The woman is looking directly at me her pupils growing like darkness expanding through her eyes. If I ever catch you trying to talk about what you heard, her voice says in my head she pauses then the pain increases This will seem like heaven compared to what I will do. With that the pain drops immediately. Lucas walks up to me "Sol you ok?" I see the woman looking at me again and I say "Yeah just a headache." He looks at me wierd then says "Ok well you gotta try the food here it's to die for." I follow him over to the line where he starts talking about how awesome we were in training. I just nod only half listening. What was she? I think She couldn't have been human. I finally decide to forget it as we finally reach the food.
Lucas had been right the food was good. There was waffles, pancakes, french toast and nearly everything you could think of that had anything to do with breakfast. I took four pancakes two omlets and a pile of bacon. After that I grabbed orange juice and followed Lucas to where everyone who trained with us sat. "That was awesome how you melted the robots." Lucas says to Tom. Tom says "Yeah but it was exhausting." I nodded knowing how when we used our powers it was like lifting wieghts and you could get exhausted quickly. I looked around and saw Alyssa sitting with a couple other people and I grinned then asked Lucas"Why can't we sit wherever?"
"Cause you sit with whatever group your in ." Ralph says finishing up the last of his food.
"Ok." I say before devouring all my food. "So it's groups of four?" I ask after sipping some orange juice. "No we're gonna have two more added to our group." Tom says. "Oh ok who's it gonna be?" I ask. Lucas pulls out a list with four names on it. "Its either Li and Sylus or Santiago and Phillip." Tom says looking at the list. "Sylus?" I ask wondering what he could do. "He can create cyclones and has super speed." Ralph says. "Definetley Li and Sylus." Lucas says impressed. I nod and so does Ralph. "Ok so it's decided then." Tom says smiling "We get Sylus and Li to join us."
