(Sylus)

Sol is mumbling words beside me.  As the truck barrels down the road. We just narrowly escaped the assassins and were driving down a rocky road to Denver. The truck was built for warfare so we had no problem escaping the assassins weapons. We made a quick right turn dodging the fallen tree on the main road and going onto the side road. On our right side was a steep wall of rock and our left side only had air.

Sol shifts in and out  of hallucinations yelling at some moments and in others nearly killing us all with energy. It was horrible. I had to keep blasting his wrist with wind so it slowly started the healing process.  I leaned back in my chair and sighed thinking of my family back in  Wyoming. They were probably getting ready to go back to school my older brother and sister both probably in college now. I look out the window taking in the scenery quickly in this peaceful moment.

The wind blows lightly through the trees  the truck bounces slightly as we hit something in the road. The weapon master that’s driving tenses up slightly. “There’s an assassin coming.” He says a second before a large force hits the car hard. Our whole world flips upside down and the truck starts falling. Half a second later our truck crumples into the bottom of the ravine.  I hit the seat before me hard and go unconscious.

 (Sol)

Blood pours from  my forehead. The jolt of the fall has shaken me out of the hallucinations. I try to move but I’m stuck in my seat by the seat belt. I look  to my right  and see Sylus with blood pouring from his chin. I  look to my left and see that a weapon master has been killed choked to death by a black material. Blood pours from his pale lips and all over his chest.

I  unbuckle my seat belt and fall to what once was the ceiling of the car. I groan as I pull myself through and out the shattered windshield. I  stand once I’m out and take in the surroundings. I’m in a ravine with grey stone all around me.  I breath heavily and shakily as I start to walk forward. I regret the fact that I have to leave them but it’s the only way any of us could survive. I spit out some of the poison and start jogging.  I wince with every step but still push myself harder.  Eventually I reach the end of the ravine and I have to start climbing up a mountain. It is a horrible journey filled with pain and me having to stop every thirty minutes to  calm down the pain all through out my body.

Finally I reach the top I don’t remember how long it took. The view is  breathtaking  with trees and snow moving across the landscape like waves. I stand there for a couple moments taking in the scene still feeling the burning pain shudder through my body. I take in a shaky breath and look around the large expanse of land.

Clouds break through  every other peak  and the sun is a yolk like golden sphere seeming to hover inches from my head. I feel my wounds  start to heal rapidly the process burning like hot oil being poured over the wounds and bones. The  psychotic creatures that had been invading my brain slowly fade away and I realize that they had been shrieking in my ears.

Then abruptly I hear a loud booming sound.  Loud sky shaking roars are accompanied with a bright blue flash to my left making me turn my attention to it. I focus my vision zooming in as if I’m looking through binoculars. A large golden spacecraft shaped like a horseshoe spins through the air dodging red lasers. It’s ends are pointed sharper than any knife or blade made by earth. A hatch opens on top of it and a man dressed in white and grey armor climbs atop the ship while its in motion. I’m  amazed by this alone because it has to be going at mach 5 at least. The man jumps off the ship and  is gone.  This is when I hear a loud boom and then a shower of rocks erupt around me knocking me onto my back.
