Leave me with a Smile
Leave me with a smile
Before you say goodbye.
It will take a little longer
Before we again see each other.
Let me hold your soft hand,
I just really don't want you to stand.Leave me with that smile,
It's not just your lips but also your eyes;
Yours is blue, mine is green
I wish I could see them every morning,
You beside me, still pretty while sleeping,
But darling sometimes we can't stop dreaming.Leave me with your smile,
Remember our first date? We're both so shy.
You wore your blue dress,
My heart's about to scape the fences.
You look so simple
But suddenly, again I just fall.Leave me, but please smile,
We're about to say goodbye, and I don't want to cry.
Hug me once more before the time
And we'll end the poem with a rhyme.
Remember me before you sleep
Goodnight my love, now I'll leave.
