A Regretful Realization

Chapter 9: Integrity

Felix POV

I got undressed and put on some fresher clothes; A white t-shirt with a plain black hoodie and midnight blue jeans. I have to say, I looked pretty damn good. After looking myself over for good moment, I gave my teeth a quick brush. When I walked up to the sink, I made sure to scrub extra well to get a good shine. Once they were as clean as I could possibly get them without tearing my gums to shreds, went on to brush my fur and called it a day. "Alright I'm ready."

At my words Blake walked out of his room looking..... 'Gorgeous..' Was my first thought. I didn't fight that thought one bit. His fur followed a grain with a strict elegance that made it almost glisten with the fluorescent light in the bathroom. It was a bit of a darker color at the base than at the tip making a gradient that was mesmerizing and something I had certainly not stopped to admire before. All of that happening in a span of a couple seconds made my head spin and me feel lightheaded.

Blake was wearing a stunning cyan blue shirt with black jeans. It complimented the rest of him well. I spit and rinsed my mouth before heading downstairs to check the time. It was 7:15. The theater was about ten minutes from here. I wasn't really worried though considering movies never really started right on time. You could thank commercials for that. I sat on the couch in wait for Blake. I'm not sure what had gotten over me but I think blake just chooses the right colors.

Blake POV

My watch said it was almost time to go. I picked up my pace but made sure nothing was rushed, I was fairly certain we'd make the movie on time. After a good look over of myself I zipped up my blue windbreaker. I rail slid down the stairs and hopped down in front of Felix. "Alright! Away we go!"

"Wah! O-okay!" He grinned and after a bit of a stiffened jump, running to the door with me in tow. I checked to make sure my phone and keys were with me, as did he. When we were well prepared, we went to the car. On the way to the cinema, the two of us were smiling the whole way. As we rocked it out to the radio, I pulled into the parking lot and Felix looked like he wanted to tuck and roll out of there to see the movie. I wondered if he'd been to a theatre at all. I looked for a parking spot, but the closest one was pretty far away. 'Less people to touch my car I suppose..' This place was packed on the weekends! Some people must have left because there were cars parked by the street. It was a fairly big cinema to say the least. The parking lot could definitely use an up-size.

I parked the car and went to the theater window to buy the tickets. Once that was done we took the left hall into the theater. "I'll be there, Felix, I'm gonna grab us some popcorn and soda, okay?" He smiled and nodded, going on ahead. When I walked back to the front where the food was hardly anyone was there due to the movie starting. The commercials at least. The prices were ridiculous but I bought a large popcorn and two sodas because i made sure i had the money to spare. I walked into the theater just as the trailers were ending. At first I couldn't spot Felix, until I saw a pair of glowing eyes in the top corner. It was creepy and cute at the same time. They were like a velvet red with a faint pink overlaying them. They darted over to me and I could tell he was smiling a bit because the bottom had a sort of crescent shape like his muzzle was up in front of them a bit.

I walked right up to him and sat down. Carefully I set the popcorn between us then handed him his soda.

Felix POV

I saw Blake walk In with "the goods". When he saw me he had this odd smile on his face. He walked up to me and handed me a soda before sitting next to me. I sniffed it a bit and smiled. 'Mmm, cola..' It has a distinct smell to it and I love how fizzy it is and when it gives my nose a weird tingle. The sound of the movie starting made me happy and terrified at once with the loud THX sound effects. I made sure the arm rest between me and Blake were up. One way or another I was going to end up clinging to him like a helpless child. After a little while during the more frightening bits I found myself getting closer to Blake.

Once the first scare happened I clung to his arm like a kid in a candy store. Soon after the adrenaline faded I was pretty scared again. This time I kept my eyes shut tight. I felt his muscles tighten when he jumped a bit as well. As the next loud one came I practically jumped onto his lap. I blushed so hard....thank god it was so dark, he couldn't quite tell how close I actually was.

Blake POV

Felix basically cuddled with me after that last jumpscare but I hugged back. After a cola and a half later I had to use the restroom pretty badly. "I'm gonna go use the restroom.."

He looked up at me a little scared. "O-okay...I'll wait outside the door for you.."

"Alright." I walked down the stairs with him behind me. The restroom was just down the hall when I exited. I went and did my business.

Felix POV

I watched as Blake went into the bathroom and saw some familiar looking trouble. 'Brandon..' That was the only one I had a name to. Pretty sure he still wanted to slug me. As soon as he saw me he glared. He was about to start something when a cute girl walked by him. Being the buffoon he was, he followed her because booty. He did a double take at me and did not have a nice look. Good to know I wasn't priority. I saw Blake walk out shortly after and he saw me giggling.

"What's so funny?" He raised an eyebrow.

"Nothing." I stuck my tongue out.

"Aww come on please?" He gave me the cutest puppy look. So I told him of Brandon and his shenanigans with the girl. We laughed and went back in just in time to get the shit scared out of us. We clung to each other and I buried my face in his chest. I looked up at him and he looked down at me.

Blake POV

I stared into Felix's eyes as he stared into mine. I swore if I didn't do this now I'd regret it later. Without warning I leaned in to kiss him. He didn't struggle, instead....he kissed right back. The panther below me was the one I wanted to be with for the rest of my life. I had now made this decision.

Felix POV

The moment we kissed a knot formed in my stomach. All this time he'd been so nice and I just wanted to use him. How could I do such a thing? Tears started to roll down my cheeks as we pulled away. When he saw the look on my face he grabbed my shoulders.

"Felix..what's wrong?"

I couldn't look him in the eyes.
