It's hard watching my best friend going trough all this pain it completely crippled and ripped my heart out finding her and team bravo in that filthy , rodent invested basement
I have never seen so much cruelty ,misery and pain
The pungent smell of decomposing flesh , waste and the metallic twinge from pools of blood
And the worst of all the rodent's nibbling on the dead unafraid uncaring, hungry thinking about it again bringing the uneasy I'm never going to stop vomiting feeling back full force
Shocking to find her still alive surprisingly mac had survived by the skin of her teeth the damage done to her body ,almost mutilated beyond repair
Still clinging to the weapon in her cold hands ,it's easy to distinguish friend form foe
The evak team looking green all around at the massacre before them holling ass bagging and tagging the dead fallen brothers and air lifting Mac back to base hospital
It took two weeks before she woke up ,wild and incoherent the pain knocking her out after 5 minutes drenched in sweat and tears
My friend broken beyond comprehension now strapped down to the hospital bed by her wrists and ankles for her safety and ours
It took a month for her to comprehend that she was save and back at base ,and to recognize me
It took a year and a half of debilitation to get her almost normal again , now sitting next to her in the car I can't help but feel proud of my friend she survived the army she has fought the war but the battle is not yet won
I'll try and help her ,fight her demons with her, she saved my life more than once
Its a life dept i intend to repay
