Naruto wasn't sure what he had been expecting Sasuke's house to look like.

In all the years of their friendship he hadn't been allowed there.

The house was a massive white mansion
Complete with balconies and pillars, large windows held views of the extraordinary garden.

He was pulled up the steps to the wide dark wooden double doors.

Naruto was honestly speechless.

For some reason the huge space made him uncomfortable.

He was vulnerable here.
He wrapped the arm that wasn't being pulled out of socket around himself,

The house was passing by in a blur of furniture and art.
This was apparently not a house tour.

He was yanked up stairs and pulled into a darker room.

Sasuke let go of him and shut the heavily postered door.

The room was a dark gray.
Like anything else it was huge.
A queen sized bed lay in the middle of the dark hard wood floors.
A soft blue coverlet fixed Neatly onto it.

Black drapes hid the windows and blocked the sun.
A large desk sat at the far side of the room heavily equipped with computers and mounds of games stacked on either side of the desktop.

A tall bookshelf took almost a whole wall.
Filled with books of fiction and fantasy.

A pretty Cherrywood trunk was set against the foot of the bed with neat rolls of muisc albums stacked into it.

The walls had nearly as many posters covering it as the door did.

As he looked closer he noticed it wasn't all posters.
Some of them were photos.
A great many with Naruto.
He also found sketches he had left laying around in multiple places, mostly because he hadn't liked them.

It pulled at his heart.
He couldn't help but smile.
Sasuke cared about him enough to save his work.

Naruto glanced over at him.
He was silent.
Flipping through his muisc.
His head was bent over the chest.
His dark hair falling in his pale face.
When he was this focused he didn't look so serious.
He had a calmer expression, his eyes didn't hold the annoyance they usually did.

He looked far off, almost peaceful.

Naruto wasn't sure Sasuke ever truly looked peacefully.
His scowl had become a part of him.
Though he smiled more now that they were together.

The silence was started to feel awkward.

Naruto sat on the edge of the soft mattress and watched the pale boy beside him.

" You saved my art"
Naruto said softly.
He realized he was smiling.

"You shouldn't have tried to throw it away"
Sasuke said simply.
His mouth was pulled up at one Connor.
He was amused by Naruto's surprise.

Silence was fine after that.
He sprawled on the edge of the bed playing with Sasuke's silky black hair as the raven fiddled with his computer.

Naruto was half asleep when his phone started blasting "Helena" Making him jump upright.

He fished the slender object out of his pocket and checked the caller ID.
He groaned and pressed the answer button.

"Kakashi? "

There was a moment of background noise before his guardians voice sounded through the speaker.

"Naruto, hey, I wanted to let you know I'd be arriving tonight instead of tomorrow"

Normally Kakashi wasn't so serious.
But tomorrow was nothing to joke about.
Being here with Sasuke, he could almost forget.
Almost.

"Oh"
He knew he should have said more but the sudden reminder made him lose his breath.
He hated that day.

"You alright? "
Kakashi asked softly.

"Fine "
He was barely able to mumble.

"I'll be there soon alright? "

Worry filled his guardians voice.

"Yeah..."
Naruto chocked out.

There was a shared silence before they said their goodbyes.
He was aware of Sasuke's stormy eyes on him but it took Naruto a moment to face him.

"Are you alright Naruto?, what's wrong?"

Tomorrow
Naruto thought.
But he couldn't make the world come out.

Kakashi made sure he was there every year.
No matter what kind of business trip or work he was on.

Naruto was thankful.

"Tomorrow is um. ."
His voice broke, his hands gripped the blanket underneath him.
He didn't want to cry in front of Sasuke.

"My parents"
He managed
His blue eyes shifted away from the raven.
He didn't need to seem any weaker.
He could hardly remember them anymore.
He was small when they had passed away.
He held on to what he knew.

He wasn't sure why it surprised him.
Maybe he wasn't quite used to Sasuke being sweet.
But he was wrapped in his arms and held tightly.

Of course Sasuke understood.
He was orphaned as well.

Naruto's head was pressed against Sasuke's chest.
The constant beating of his heart soothed him.
He was warm and strong.

"Come with me tomorrow, meet Kakashi, and help me through it, please? "

Sasuke kissed him gently on the forehead.
Warm and sweet.

"Of course"

It was a weight off if his chest in a way.
And in another he was slightly terrified of what Kakashi was going to do to Sasuke.
But that was tomorrow's problem.
For now he was content in his boyfriend's arms.
