Modern day Naruto X Sasuke

No secrets between us

Naruto was surprised at himself.

Here they were, in a fancy restaurant.

Waiting on Itachi Uchiha

And Naru wasn't nervous at all.

He was frighteningly calm.

Almost Numb.

He had been worrying about it so much, perhaps he broke himself.

Or had he realized the outcome of this wouldn't change anything between them?.

He didn't really care.

Itachi was late, and Sasuke looked upset.

"He's not going to show up"

Mumbled Sasuke.
His pale face turned away from the Blonde, probably so he couldn't see his upset expression .

But it didn't matter, he didn't have to see it.

He could hear it.
Feel it, even.

He knew Sasuke too well for the raven to hide anything now.

The restaurant was the nicest place Naruto had ever been in.

There were only a handful of tables.
Covered in a white cloth, a candle surrounded by flowers in the center of each one

Pristine, lavish, people in dresses and suits sat at every table.

Wearing pricey gems and jewelery, watches and the works.

He felt so very out of place here.
He wore a crisp white bottom down, a navy blue tie, and a black velvet waistcoat.

But it wasn't the clothes that made him feel that way.

His personality didn't fit.

The whole place was filled with soft chatter and boring Music.

They waited awhile longer, until Sasuke got a call from his brother sated what the boy had already figured.

Something came up and he wouldn't be coming.

Sasuke hung up on him.

Naruto took his hands, in his own, warm and gentle.
And kissed them softly.

He seemed a little better after that.

Regardless of his brothers absence they had a wonderful date.

When they got to Naruto's house Sasuke looked like he was going to leave.

Naruto grabbed the back of his jacket pulling him back

"Where are you going Sasu?"

The raven looked, dare Naruto say awkward?

" Home, to scold my brother"

Naruto laughed

" I'm sure he won't be home for a while Sasuke"

Naruto said nodding towards his door.

"Oh "
Sasuke mumbled following Naruto inside.

Why was he suddenly so very awkward?

He sat on the sofa next to the blonde who chuckled at him.

Naruto threw the vest off of himself, then the tie.

He never liked being dressed up.

He crawled onto the nervous Ravens lap.

Naru's sweet smile calmed his heart.

"Calm down"

He whispered sliding his hands to the back of Sasuke's neck, then up into his hair.
