Chapter 8

Everything was blurry.

Thomas jumped up from his bed and looked around.

Where am I?

He couldn't remember anything.

Thomas was in a small room with a bed and a bathroom. And with a door.

He slammed the gray iron door.

,, Help! Is anyone out there? Hello!"

But there weren't no answer.

Only few steps.

Thomas backed away from the door and looked around trying to find something to protect himself with.

Then someone opened one small slot and Thomas saw a man who pushed his meal inside the room.

,, Your food is here."

Thomas moved slowly to the door and pretended to take the food but instead of it he grabbed the guard's shirt and pulled him against the door.

,, Where am I?" He pressed trough his teeth. ,, WHERE AM I?!"

,, I-In the...WICKED's building." The guard said and Thomas released him.

In the WICKED's building.

Then all his memories came back within one second. He could remember everything. How they tried to escape from WICKED, how they fought with WICKED's army, how Teresa betrayed them, how Newt-

Newt.

,, Where are they?" He asked angrily.
,, Where are my friends?"

The guard smirked. ,, I won't tell you nothing about them."

,, Where are they?" Thomas repeated his question, way angrily this time.

But the guard stayed silent.

,, I swear, if you hurt anyone of them, I'll kill you all!" He whispered this, but his voice was threatening and angry.

,, Well you-" The guard started to say but then something pushed him against the door and Thomas heard punching sounds. Then the guard slipped down on the floor. Thomas heard a clacking sound and then the door opened. The first person who caught Thomas' eye was Newt. He ran to him and hugged him tightly.

,, Newt." He whispered. ,, I'm so glad to see you!" He saw Minho and Gally and two other boys too and gave them a thankful look.

,, Come on, Thomas, we have to go. The cameras must've noticed that we broke in here and that means about a hundred guards are already heading here. So, we have to go, now!" Gally said and started to run. The others followed to him.

,, The guards! They're coming! I can hear them!" One boy yelled few seconds after that and everybody turned around to see ten guards catching up to them.

,, You'll go! I'll cover you!" Gally shouted and started to shoot. Everyone lowered and ran faster. Everyone except for Newt. He joined with Gally.

,, Newt come on! We have to run! Gally can deal with this on his own!" Minho yelled and tried to pull Newt with him.

,, Thomas! Catch!" One boy threw his gun to Thomas, took another one between his belt and ran back to help Gally.

,, Newt! Come on!" Finally Minho succeeded to pull Newt away from back and they ran towards the head door, Minho leading them.

He was like a runner again.

,, Hey! John! Michael! Anyone there?!" Minho yelled into his watch.
