Somebody Is Watching

Chapter 8

I woke up in the hospital with the worst pain in my head. I opened my eyes and looked around. Shannon was sitting up asleep in a chair beside me. Me"Shannon?" He jumped up and I saw that underneath both of his eyes were black. He had some other cuts and bruises but he was okay. Luckily we were both wearing seat belts. I had a pretty bad concussion and also had cuts and bruises. S"I am so happy you are awake. How are you feeling?" Me"My head is killing me." S"Yeah you smashed your head against the door when we flipped." Me"How are you feeling?" S"Sore but not that bad." We got sent home and we went to stay with his brother, Jared. When we got to his house he hugged us both and said "I am so happy you guys are okay." S"Thanks for letting us stay!" J"Anytime." Later that night when we went to bed I felt really bad and I was still in a lot of pain. Shannon got my pain medicine and I was knocked out for a while. I woke up the next morning and Shannon was downstairs talking to Jared. I reached over to look at my phone and I had a few messages from people I worked with and one from new number I didnt recognize. I opened it and it was a picture of Jared's house and it said "do you think you are safe?" I just laid there. I was scared I was putting both Jared and Shannon in danger. I just laid there and cried. What do I do? He almost killed us. He obviously is not ready to give up. I called him. I was fed up. He answered and talked in a low voice. Me"Why are you doing this?" He didnt answer and I was mad. Me"Hello? Are you just going to stalk me, try to kill me, and then act like a little bitch when I confront you?" Still nothing. I was about to hang up when he said "Just wait. The car accident was just a teaser." He hung up and that was it. Shannon heard me on the phone and came up to the bedroom. S"Were you talking to him?" Me"Yes, look." I showed him the message and called the detective again. Me"I feel like I am putting you both in danger. I need to go somewhere else." S"No you arent leaving. I am not letting you leave my sight."
