Chapter 16

Sofia’s pov
I looked over just in time to see Jin slip his hand into Carmen’s and she accepted it. “Hey what movie are we seeing?” Jungkook whispered in my ear and it drew my attention back to the screen. I had to think for a second. “Love, Simon.” I smiled up at him and he nodded his head grabbing popcorn from the tub. The movie had been about 15 minutes in and I was already tearing up. I guess Jungkook noticed because he quickly put his arm around me pulling my body closer. “I am gay.” The main character came out to his friend and I knew that I could not hold back. The tears started pouring from my eyes. “Hey what’s wrong?” Jungkook turned towards me. “It is just so touching.” I answered quickly wanting to pay attention to the movie. I think at one point I heard the others sniffle, but I was crying until the movie ended. That moment I was balling for about half and hour to forty five minutes. Once the credits hit and the lights turned on Camden looked over at me started laughing. “Are you crying?” She questioned but it came out more of a statement. “Ye-ah.” I was talking in between deep breaths. Jungkook helped me up. “I didn’t think I would cry that much.” Jungkook slung his arm back around my shoulders as we walked out of the theater. My friends still giggling at me.
Once back home I got out a bunch of sleeping bags and took them outside to the back yard. We all decided to end tonight with sleeping outside. “Okay there is one for everyone.” I said pointed down at them and everyone picked one up setting it down where they wanted it.

Camden’s pov
“Camden can you move yours over a little?” Taehyung questioned as I slid it over. “Is that good?” He smiled and nodded. After the sleeping bag was rolled out I made my way back over to the group. We were all sitting around some flashlights since Sofia would not let us start a fire claiming it would spread or whatever. I looked over and saw Sofia adjusting her shirt and I thought of the perfect thing to say. “Hey Sofia! Stop being a garden hoe!” She sent me a death glare. “Look Staton. Just because I rolled my ankle does not mean I won’t get up and beat your ass.” I giggled before holding up my fists going along with the joke. “Come at me then.” I said in the least threatening voice ever. She just fell over in a fit of laughter and I held my hands up in victory. “Ha I win.” I jumped around basking in the glory and applause from my friends, but it ended when Taehyung grabbed my arm and pulled me over away from the group. None of them seemed to mind because they just went back to talking among themselves. “Tae. Where are we going?” I stopped before he could continue causing him to stop abruptly as well. “I wanted to go for a walk and didn’t want to be lonely.” He flashed me that big grin I had grown to know and love. “Okay let's go.” I slipped my hand with his intertwining our fingers. We just strolled around making light conversation. “Okay I have a question.” Tae stated and I went quiet waiting for him to continue. “Okay have you ever dated anyone?” He wore a small smirk and I blushed as soon as the words left his mouth. “Um yeah, but just for like a week in middle school. But, I did end up asking this boy I really liked and thought liked me out, but he said no.” I looked down at my feet. “Hey don’t worry about it. He is missing out on a lot.” I gave him a small smile silently thanking him for his kind words. “Oh I don’t know.” I said finding my feet suddenly interesting again. This time I felt his hand on my chin lifting it up to the same level as his. “I am serious Camden.” I was speechless as I saw him leaning in. I closed my eyes as our lips met. I felt the butterflies erupt in my stomach as I we continued our kiss. It seemed to last for hours, but it was short and sweet. We both pulled away not wanting to ruin the moment. I slowly opened my eyes still trying to register what just happened, but when I did I was met with Taehyung staring deep into my eyes and I did the same back. We stayed like this until we heard everyone else looking for us. “I found them!” I heard Sofia yell. “And they are going at it.” My eyes widened and I started in a full sprint for her. It seems her ankle has healed because she saw me coming and started running away laughing and screaming. Unfortunately for me Sofia was faster and escaped me. “And I won again!” She cheered and danced around like I had earlier. Carmen stood up and raised my hand in victory and we all just fell down laughing. “Okay I don’t know about you all but I am going to sleep so keep it down.” Carmen stood up and walked away as Jin followed. “I am going to bed as well. Goodnight boys and girls.” We all went to our bags and laid down. “Taehyung, why did you kiss me?” I whispered after a few minutes of silence. “Because I wanted to.” His voice was not soft, in fact it sound angry. “I’m sorry for bringing it up.” I said rolling over to face my back towards him. “You don’t have to act like that. I just kissed you. Stop worrying about it.” I was about to continue our conversation, well more like argument, but Sofia had been listening to the whole thing and she stepped in for me. “Taehyung you can’t just kiss someone and expect them not to wonder why.” She was standing now looking down at Tae. “Sof it is fine.” I tried to reassure her, but she didn’t listen. “No Camden it is not. He can’t kiss you and then treat you like that. He is just messing with you and it is not okay.” She was about to go on until Jungkook placed a hand on her waist pulling her away. Tae and I sat in silence just looking at each other, then Tae just huffed and laid down back facing me.
