RICHARD
Once Christina and Richard had made their entrance into the lunchroom, they set out to find a table. Richard started to walk to the "popular" table but Christina pulled him away. She led him to a small table. One for two. "What the hell?" Richard quietly muttered. Christina shot him a confused look. "I thought you liked me," she looked near tears. "I-I do," Rich stuttered. And all of a sudden, that vulnerable persona of Christina was gone.
"I think we need to talk," Said Christina. "Then talk," said Richard sounding bored. "Are we together? I just want you to know that I am falling in lo- I mean I really like you,"Christina said pleadingly. "I like you too," Rich muttered. And Christina started talking again, "I was thinking, do you want to ditch school? My parents are in Hawaii for their anniversary. Do you want to come over?" She asked with a coy look on her face. "That sounds cool," Richard said with a smirk on his face, "I just have to switch plans with my mums because we were supposed to go out for dinner for one of their birthday's." "You-you're mums?" Christina stuttered. Rich nodded. "Um..." She struggled with what to say. "Actually, I have plans tonight. I don't think that this relationship is working. Us and our families our completely different people," she tried to look convincing. With a confused look, Richard stood up and walked to the "popular" table.
Flashback: Doyle and Rich were sitting in the back of Richard's truck. Doyle headed into the gas station store that had a convient store on one side and a Tim Hortons on the other. From the truck, Rich could see that Doyle was making his way over to the cooler. The one that had the most dirt cheap drinks imaginable. But Doyle came back holding a cooler. But not THE cooler. A different one. The cooler read Coors Light. Rich had a silent freakout. Doyle wasn't expecting them to drink it, was he? They were only 17 going on 18. Doyle walked over. "Get in the car," he muttered. Richard did as he was told. Doyle handed Rich a beer. Doyle grabbed one for himself and chugged it. "Come on, don't be a wimp! Drink it," he ordered Rich. The look in his eyes was so venemous that Rich did as he was told. When he came home later, his mothers could smell the alcohol on his breath. That was the end of going to gas stations with Doyle.
SAMANTHA
Sam saw Richard, the boy of her dreams. OMG that sounded so stupid but was it true? She really didn't know. She felt like she had seen him before somewhere. Somewhere other than school. The thought finally came clear.
Sam entered her dad's door. There she saw him lying on the couch with 5 bottles of vodka surrounding him. On the T.V. there was this show about the FBI. Sam thought this was strange, her dad never watched FBI, or she's at least never seen him watch it. Sam walked over to the T.V. and turned it off. Went to the kitchen pulled out some Lays chips and sat outside in the backyard on the new swing set they got. As she sat there she thought about seeing Richard leaving Christina's lunch table and then later seeing her with Doyle's arm around her waist. Was this the wake up call telling her that I was next? He was looking at her with a gaze that never could be broken and he sat beside her in algebra, but did that really mean anything? Her thoughts were broken by a yell from the porch door. "SAM! GET YOUR ASS OVER HERE!" Her dad yelled. Shit shit shit shit shit. This was the part were she had to face her dad. "Bringing my ass over" her dad's face found new anger right as Sam realized she shouldn't have said that. "SAMANTHA LOUISE FARNELL YOU WONT BE SARCASTIC AND YOU WILL DO AS I SAY!" Right as Sam reached the porch she felt a hand slap her hard against the face and her dad's foot jab her in the stomach. The rest was a blur.
