RICHARD
Richard sat in shock. He had never liked her, but girls never dumped him. It was always the other way around. What was her problem anyway? It's not like she had anyone better to go to. Richard walked to the cafeteria line. There were 5 people between him and Doyle. Suddenly, Rich didn't know what to think. Why did Doyle have his hand on a girls waist? He wasn't dating anyone, was he?
Christina. Only she had a waist like that with her dirty blond hair. Once long, now cropped. Richard felt a pang of anger. What gave her the right to use his best friend as a rebound? And what gave Doyle the right to just accept that? Raichard paused and had a moment of doubt. Was Doyle his friend? This felt like betrayl to Rich. Doyle would probably make up some excuse later about how when the ladies call, he can't turn them down. But this was Richard's oldest friend. What the hell was Doyle's problem. Rich vowed that he and Doyle would have a talk later. And Rich wasn't the kind of guy that usually broke his promises.
Doyle. Even the sound of his name disgusted Rich.
The next morning, Richard got out of bed on time. He got to school just in time with no hurry. Like every other morning he headed straight to Algebra class. Mr. Davis wasn't there yet. Deciding where to sit, Rich looked around. Ugh, disgusting. He spotted Doyle and Christina. Ugh, passionantly, ugh, making out, ugh. Like yesterday, he looked for the nameless girl. Today, his goal was to find out her name. He walked up to her and sat down in his unofficial spot. He looked at her witha smile. But as soon as he saw her face, his turned into a frown. She looked away. Not wanting Rich to see her pain.
SAMANTHA
Sam woke up that morning and groaned. It was 6:30 which means she took a shower and then went to get dressed. She had remembered a few parts of last night so she checked her new found wounds. On her stomach she saw a huge bruise that traveled across her stomach, guess no crop tops today. Then she found another on her cheek. She worried it was too noticeable but she couldn't do anything about it. Plus, she wasn't the kind of girl who hid everything with foundation. So she slipped on a tight top with long sleeves. Pulled on leggings with an aztec pattern and blue converses. She did her hair up in a messy bun and headed out the door.
In the end Sam did put a little concealer but it didn't help that much. She had sneaked out that morning trying not to wake up her dad. She also had slipped her hand through his pocket and pulled out a twenty. Then she had successfully slipped the wallet back into his pocket and then she was gone.
Algebra class. JOY! But then she realized who was in her class, Richard. Like last morning he sat next to her. What did this mean? A million ideas rushed through her head at once. But then he smiled at her and Sam wanted to smile back but she was in too much pain. The bruises made his smile turn into a frown. Sam desperately wanted to talk to Richard. And that's just what happened.
