-an Hour later-

Kathiren had finally come down to the medical ward. She had found it on her own, she pushed open the doors and snuck in without being noticed.

“So..What exactly are you?..” Tord asked Hyacinth, who turned her head towards him.

“An Experiment… for the S.C. program..” Hyacinth stated sounding very unsure of herself, “I-I'm not exactly sure… what it is.. You would have to ask Kath.. I can only remember what we were before.. Well sort of..” She sighed, “I.. Think we were young… maybe I was about 7?.. And I was...human... Then.. Next thing I can remember is waking up like this.. And being 17 years old.. Then three years after that…. Kath was deemed to be terminated.. Your attack allowed us to escape.”

“Damn.. That must have been rough..” Paul sighed, and Hyacinth nodded.

“Waking up with no recognition of who or what you are; confused with all your thoughts broken and unsure why you are even alive. Hell yeah it was rough.” Kathiren said seemingly appearing out of nowhere. “You first thought is: ‘Why the Fuck am I alive?! I should be dead!’ Waking up the first time was like trying to take two or more people, and force them to make one conscience.” She growled the last part crossing her arms. “My sister here is the only one of their experiments that was a ‘success' even if she still had her flaws, she was able to turn into a monster.”

“How would they do that?” Tord asked, Kath looked at him, she paused for a second.

“They would find a recently deceased person, and take their body, then send soldiers to collect the spirit. Then from there they would take a ‘host’, preferably human, then replace the human gene with the strongest gene in the two bodies that were harvested for the host. Their hope was to create artificial monsters, for military purposes. They made them larger than the normal species, and faster, sometimes stronger depending on the species chosen.” She explained almost coldly as if she had gotten used to what she had described.

“Hey Kath what about your wrist?” Hyacinth asked and Kathiren flinched, Tord looked at Kath. He gestured the medic over, Kath looked almost as she was trying to figure out a way to escape the inevitable. The medic noticed her eyes, and paused.

“You have Heterochromia iridium..” He muttered, the others looked at him confused, “Two different colored eyes.” Paul’s, Pat’s, and Tord’s gazes turned to her, she seemed uncomfortable and began to back up.

“Haha..yeah..I do..” She laughed nervously, “Is that a bad thing?..”

“Nah. I've just never seen it before.” The Medic stated, “Now about the wrist.”

“..its broken..” Kathiren sighed, “It happened before our escape.”

“Well let's get that fixed up.” He said while walking over to a cabinet and getting out bandages. She looked at him curiously as he set her wrist back in place, and wrapped it up.

“Thanks.. Your name is Aaron right?..” She asked and he nodded, “Well.. Again thank you..”

“Do you know who your ‘donor’ was?..” Pat asked and she shook her head.

“No.. But sometimes you can get memories of their life, it's almost like P.T.S.D… it could be Noises, people, places, names, voices, and so on.” Kath explained, and Hyacinth nodded.

“The scientists would sometimes try to trigger these memories, since they or someone in the army was there when the ‘donor’ died. They mostly tried Explosions and gunshots for me..” She added, her sister nodded in agreement.

“Basically the same for me except no Gunshots, instead they would try having me listen to sword fights.. It was strange..” Kath sighed, “I could guess what movement had made the noise when it blocked the other sword, without having even seen or known about it ahead of time.”

“And I could guess what type of gun they had fired.” Hyacinth added curling her tail around herself, “Kath, what about-?”

“I can handle it, besides it's nothing new to me.” Her sister dismissed, “Besides you are my top priority at this point.”

“You seem very protective over your sister.” Paul said, and she nodded.

“She's the only thing I have ever known, and knowing she was alive...well it made me want to make sure they were telling the truth.. She's really the only thing that has kept me alive for so long.. Even through what they put me through.” She sighed, “I don't know whether or not you know what that's like… but you would understand..”
