Paul led her down the corridors, when they stopped, she heard him knock on a door. When the door opened she heard Paul greet him.

"Hey, Bill Nye, I have something for you." Paul said patting her on the shoulder, the man grunted.

"It's just Bill." He reached out his hand to shake Hyacinth's, "And you must be?"

"Hyacinth Snowdin..." She responded, almost feeling bad for this 'Bill' for reaching out his hand.

"Bill she's the test subject for the V.R. sets." Paul informed him, Bill came to a realization and put his hand down.

"Oh.." He said in surprise, "Dear me I must look like a fool." Hyacinth held herself back from laughing.

"Nah. I still don't see anything, so you might not look exactly a fool." She smiled, she liked to make people laugh it was just her nature. She heard muffled laughter from Paul and Bill. Paul patted her on the head.

"Well kid, see you later." He smiled, she snickered again.

"Yeah, See you later." She laughed hearing heavy footsteps as he walked away. Bill led her inside the lab, which was extremely loud to her sensitive hearing.

"So Hyacinth, are you excited about getting your new eyes?" Bill asked her, she shrugged she herself had no idea whether to be happy or not.

"I'm not exactly sure.." She sighed, "Part of me is Excited.. But the other part is scared..But I guess that's just normal for someone in my situation.."

"Hmm I would guess so... but I'm not going to sugarcoat anything. This will hurt... and you should not be able to take it off. Besides those it takes a little bit to get used to." Bill told her, and she nodded. "Besides we are going to have to remove your eyes..."

"Oh.. Well hey... it's not like I needed them anyways." She sighed, "Now.. Let's just get this first part over with.."

The anesthetic had worn off from the surgery, now she was feeling all sorts of pain from her now empty eye sockets. She heard Bill walk over to her.

"Alright I got the V.R... now this is the worst part..." He said helping her stand up so he can set the device in place. She felt something be set on her face. "Are you ready?.." She took a deep breath.

"Yes.." She heard a switch be flicked, she could feel tiny wires stab the back of her sockets. She fell to her knees and dug her nails into the cement floor to keep herself from screaming. By the time it was over, she was breathing hard trying to get her breathing back to normal. All she could see was a black screen with the words 'Calibrating' and a small loading bar. A few seconds tick by and the bar is at 100% a flash fill the screen and colors began to slowly appear. Until the whole room was in color, she lifted up her face to look at Bill. He had short dark brown hair and dull green eyes. "Huh... still can't tell if you're a fool or not." She said with a smile and he looked excited. He pumped his fists in the air in victory, she looked at him. "Can you ummm....take three steps to the left?" She asked and he did as he was told, as a machine from the ceiling came crashing down to the ground, right where he had been standing moments before.

"Oh.. Well.. Anyways. IT WORKS! IT ACTUALLY WORKS!" He yelled excitedly, her cat ears turned away from him and laid flat on her head.

"And just when I thought the worst of it was over.." She sighed, as a thought crossed Bill's mind.

"Try your monster form, to see if they still work." He suggested, she followed his instructions and shifted to her smaller size. Surprisingly the V.R. set shrunk to fit her monster forms size. She laid down and changed to her larger form. Her tail was long enough to reach the door from the middle of the lab. Her body occupied the other half of the lab. She had laid down in a way that she was a completely straight line. She heard the door open and flicked her tail enough to hit whoever had entered with the very tip.
